How many packets do i have to drink to reduce the facial hair? As i have finished 20 teabags and didnt get any results so i just wonder ?

I can't really advise you on this. It would depend on how severe your problem is, what's causing it etc...I don't think 20 teabags is enough to expect results. I drink spearmint tea at least 3-4 times a week, steeping it for 10 minutes before I do. It has helped with reducing facial hair for me but I didn't have a big problem with this. I think the fact that it helps to regulate hormone levels is a plus though, as long as someone is not ignoring a bigger issue that should be discussed with a health care professional. Hope this helps a bit.

I happened upon a similar question and someone answered their question most brilliantly in my opinion.

Here's a copy of the reply…

"A: Whether or not spearmint tea will reduce your facial hair depends on the reason you have it. Talk to your doctor. Some things to consider: if it's the fuzz caused by being underweight, this will not work. If it's the normal light, thin hairs that pretty much all women have, this will not work. If you have a condition such as PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) that specifically raises the levels of the hormone androgen, it *might* work. MIGHT. If a different hormone imbalance is to blame, this will not work. Talk to your doctor.
If your unwanted hair IS caused by elevated androgen (get a blood test to find out, and talk to your doctor), you need to drink 16 ounces of unsweetened, strongly brewed (4 bags per 16oz of water), spearmint tea every single day -without fail- for at least 3 months...that's 360 bags of tea. MINIMUM. It works by reducing androgen, the hormone responsible for symptoms such as male pattern hair growth. Get a blood test done by your doctor to establish your base line level of androgens. Then drink the tea *every day* for three months and get retested to make sure the hormone level is dropping. If it's not, you likely also need to drastically increase exercise, completely eliminate all sugar (it interferes with the hormone re-balancing process), eat an unwaveringly healthy diet, and have a daily water intake that makes your urine clear. If you're overweight, doing these things will also help you get down to a healthy weight, which in turn helps lower androgen levels further. If your symptoms are caused by PCOS, getting it under control is not for the faint of heart and requires rock-solid dedication to living a healthy lifestyle, but it is achievable!
It takes a long time for changing body chemistry to have a visible effect. With hair, not only do you have to wait for androgen to be reduced, you also have to wait out the hair follicle's growth cycle. Once your hormones are at the proper levels *and* the follicle has finished a cycle with the hair falling out, the hair will not grow back. Resist the urge to pluck or wax. Doing that can stimulate the follicle to grow another hair. Doing *gentle* exfoliation after three months, and if blood tests show reduced hormone levels, can help loosen and remove hair that's at the end of its cycle.
Once you are symptom free, gradually replace the amount of tea you drink with plain water. There are no studies yet that indicate if the hormone reduction is permanent or if androgen levels will rise again, causing the hair to grow back. Do plenty of your own research while working with your doctor for best results. see less
