We’ve tried a different child lock before that ended up being a flimsy, weak device and it eventually popped off and even pulled paint when it failed (one of the photos I’m including shows that old broken one for comparison). Three years later, this fridge still functions flawlessly. I purchased it because I have a young child and wanted to ensure that our fridge remains securely closed and locked at all times. Now, it’s given new life to our kitchen. It effectively prevents our fridge door from opening unintentionally. I’m considering buying a second one to ensure that our freezer also has the same lock. One-handed operation was a must-have feature for me, and it works exceptionally well when securing an unsecure door.

Good product and easy installation. I used it for a upright freezer door for increased safety and to ensure door stayed latched.

Latch works great. The adhesive, not so much. Ended up taking the black adhesive strips off, and hot gluing it to the refrigerator. Holds strong now!

(this is important) What stood out to me most is how simple it is to use day to day. It doesn’t make opening the fridge annoying, but it does exactly what we needed by keeping the doors from popping open. For us, it ended up being a really practical fix for a frustrating problem.
