Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2 - PlayStation 4

I've played some entries in a few fighting game series over my lifetime (Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, King of Fighters, etc.), but I've never invested a ton of time while trying to master any of them. Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2 is one of the best and deepest fighting games that I've ever played and I'm starting to think about a new investment. It looks beautiful, plays incredibly smoothly, and no two characters play alike. The moment you think you've selected your main, you'll end up playing with another character or get destroyed by someone else using a different character and after a little practice you'll fall in love all over again. The game has an excellent tutorial that gives noobs like me a good introduction to the game's systems. Though it's clear, even after several weeks, I know I'm just skimming the surface of this game's depth and find myself utilizing only a fraction of its available systems. The one drawback I'd give this game is that it's popularity predominantly lies in Japan; Tokyo especially. With that being the case, you'll need to join some English speaking player groups to set up some routine matches, or jump into one of the Tokyo lobbies and go for what you know. There is a clear separation between those who are new and the masters that have been playing this game for a while. Still, if you're looking to try something new in the fighting game scene, but feel a little hesitant about jumping into something other than you're used to (Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat for example) feel free to jump in and experience this title. You're not the only one still trying to learn the ropes!

As someone who enjoyed Guilty Gear in the past but missed out on the Xrd games, this is the perfect way to jump back into the series. It's so much fun to just sit back and play without having to worry about unlocking stuff, or griping about characters stuck behind a paywall. Not only does REV 2 take care of all that for you, it also brings back Baiken from previous games and introduces an all-new character, Answer. The game itself looks absolutely beautiful. You can see all the hard work they put into every character and cut scene, which is something I would never say about SFV. On top of that REV 2 sports the best tutorial mode in fighting games and utilizes simple, clean inputs that allow you to focus primary on your strategy. You really couldn't ask for a better game at $40. Also props to these guys having some fun with the Dualshock speaker. Wish more PS4 games would do that.

First time playing Guilty Gear. on a side note i have bought Arksys game before like blazblue etc. I must say this game is very entertaining, also its a great fighting game that can speak out to new players like me. This game has an awesome tutorial that teaches you how you can learn how to fight every step of the way. also brings alot of content and modes like arcade/offline and players vs player. story mode is rich. i recommend this game to anyone that like fighting games. this is new addition for me. I always heard of this game but never had the chance to give it a try and now that i have it its worth it.

This game is sooo underrated in the USA in terms of advertising. However, IT IS A MUST HAVE!!! If you LOVE Japanese 2D fighting games and anime style, this is IT! The Animation is high quality as if you're watching an anime series. The game's mechanics are fast, flashy and awe-inspiring. This game is beautifully made and it is the latest guilty gear series up to date. BONUS PLUS, is the awesome rock music that gets you so PUMPED UP! Even if you are not good at fighting games, you can still appreciate everything I've just mentioned. This game has many modes to choose from and loads of content to unlock. I LOVE IT!!!

Best fighting game period! Street fighter, Blazblue, Mk, and all them other fighting games have nothing on this. GG has everything you want in a fighting game, and more! The art and design of the characters and stages is just beautiful! I wouldn't mind paying full price of $60 for this game, just so I can support Arksy's and what they are doing with this game. Keep in mind that if you get the physical copy, it gives you Baiken and Answer, plus all past DLC characters from Rev1 if you haven't got them already. Just upgrading from Rev1 will only get you Baiken and Answer. You may not care for the other dlc characters but its good to have them in case you may want to use them in training mode.

If you enjoy 2d fighting games buy Guilty Gear Xrd Rev2. So far, even after a few in game updates and patches it looks like this version of the game is complete...no dlc characters or game modes with an additional price tag or huge download size seem to be the case here. Oh yeah, this game is pretty fun and looks amazing too!

First to a quick explanation of this version GG Xrd. This is the 3rd version Guilty Gear Xrd. If you own Guilty Gear Xrd: Revelator YOU DO NOT NEED TO BUY THIS VERSION. You can upgrade to Rev 2 on the PlayStation Store for a lesser cost. Review: This fighter still has one of the best tutorials for beginners out there and has more than enough content to satisfy the causal gamer and enough depth to give the competitive plenty to chew. This version adds a variety of balances as well as the 2 new Characters: Baiken and Answer .

I was a huge huge fan of the original Guilty Gear game and the second or third one too. I'm really annoyed with the controls as I've never played GG on the PS4. I'm also disappointed with how my main character, Dizzy, has had some of her moves changed up and I find it very difficult to properly input on the PS4 controller. I'm going to return this as I find it extraordinarily frustrating. Back to Street fighter for me :( I really really wanted to love this game.

I miss the animated Street Fighter games since it's changed from Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike. The Guilty Gear and BlazBlue fighting games have filled that void. These series are always fun to play. Lots of action and you'll definitely get juggled if you're not paying attention. The fighting style feels so smooth. Lots of different characters to play as. I recommend not playing online as there are so many good players. I went online and played one game and it was gg from there. Never been online since. I'll stick to whipping my friends at this game lol.

If you love anime, love beautifully rendered 3D, and are currently enjoying DragonBall FighterZ but are wishing that you could have the option for 1v1 fights with characters with a wider breath of special moves and not having to worry about team synergy, this is your game. Each fighter is wonderfully robust and viable, each having their own special gimmick or meter to manage alongside their standard moves and it makes even the fighters you cant use very well a joy to play. Plus, all DLC included and a rocking soundtrack are great bonuses

SIGNで英語ボイスが入っていたので買ってみたんですが、まさかREVELATORから収録自体してないとは思いませんでした。 公式サイトをよく読むと確かに日本語のみのようには書いてあるんですが、英語が入ってないと一言書いておいてほしかったですね、そうすれば買わなかったのに。
