On really cold mornings (like 8 deg F), I'll put on thermal underwear first, and then these pants are great. Also probably worth noting, I wear these for deer hunting here in California where it's sometimes 100 deg F out, and I feel fine in them. Kind of amazing pants in terms of the range in temp they can operate comfortably within. Hope this helps. **Q: What temperature is this rated for?** A: They are not super warm, but better then early season pants. I wear them comfortably in temps down to the 30's. You can wear layers underneath if temps get colder.
