Great flavor! A little sweet, a bit hot, and a nice umami in the back. I've used it in two dishes as an ingredient and to jazz up takeout noodles. Very nice

Too many of the similar sauces are just hot without a lot of flavor. This one actually tastes good. I guess you would say medium heat - I add very little to give food a little extra kick. I do find I put it on/in a lot of dishes.

Spend the extra. This product is outstanding. Nothing like domestic versions. Packaged poorly and leaky but who cares?

It has cayenne pepper, so there is a quick hit of medium heat that fades quickly. It’s spicy, not hot. Brown sugar is listed, it rounds out the flavor but it definitely NOT enough to claim that it's sweet. It is more a savory sauce. I think some people might like it because there is no lingering burn and you'll actually taste the food. It's just OK, but I'll have to mix in other ingredients to improve it. You can definitely taste each of the ingredients that are listed, but the soy oil itself is too noticeable in an odd way. I really wanted to like this but I won't be buying it again. Edit: Seller reached out and offered a refund but I declined since I might try the other varieties they have. I might have been unfairly comparing it to my usual brand and I like that they used that type of pepper. I poured out some of the oil, stirred in a tiny more brown sugar and it’s closer to what I normally use. ,

LOVE this sauce! I've bought the chili crisp one also, delicious! This brand is the best I've tried.
