A fantastic carrier, esp for big cats!!
I breed Maine Coons and give this carrier as a gift to everyone who adopts one of my kittens. They are well thought out: spacious, washable pad (this could be thicker), lots of storage places, & lots of ventilation. They used to be a pain to assemble, but that is not the case anymore. I am 64 yo and can easily snap the base securely in place by myself. The remainder of the assembly is simply joining the 2 upper arms on each side. It is very easy & even comes with an excellent set of assembly instructions. The netting holds up extremely well. The only negative I have experienced is when I left one on my porch for an extended time. The elements weakened the canvas and resulted in a broken strap when I lifted it. But I see this as my fault. These are quality carriers and should be stored in a dry place. The large side window unzip, and like the 3 other windows, rolls up & velcros in place. There is even a safety strap if you wanted to harness your cat inside, but have this side netting open while traveling in a car. You can also leave this large side rolled up while inside your home to act as an alternate bed for your cat. My Maine Coons love to lounge in theirs. Pegic's design weighs just over 2 lbs less than other competitors I've seen. This is significant when you are toting around a large cat like a Maine Coon or 2 or more kittens. My cats are comfortable and safe. It has a place to secure it with a car safety belt. This is and will stay my go-to for a reliable carrier. I find this the best bang for my buck!

My kittens love this carrier
I was looking for a carrier that was both sturdy and comfortable for our 2 newly adopted kittens. We've been training our kittens to come camping with us in our travel trailer so we needed something that they could spend time in and was sturdy enough for long rides. This carrier is roomy and will have enough room for the both of them as they grow. We place it in the corner of the room and put a few toys in it to get them used to it. They love to take naps in it and come and go when they please. When we take them on rides either to the vet or just to get them accustomed to being in a vehicle, we are able to secure it with the seatbelts. There are plenty of zippered windows for them to look out of or for me to slip in a travel treat. They are the most content when they can see out of the truck/car windows. We are still working on the safest way to do that because it needs a booster to be up high enough to do that. I love all the different access points the carrier has. There is one at the top and I believe 3 of the sides (I am too lazy to get up and walk into the other room to verify...lol...but you can look at the specs by scrolling up). It's also great that I can unzip a small space for me to slip in treats while we ride, while having the ability to keep the opened space small enough to keep the kittens in. The thought of having an escaped kitten in the cab of the truck isn't a pleasant thought at all! I am pretty sure the first place they will head for is the driver's side. They are drawn to it for some reason when we let them loose inside the cab while sitting in our driveway. They are curious little creatures for sure! We have no troubles or issues ever getting them in their carrier. In fact, when we set it on the table with the sides open, they both happily climb into without any coaxing. Win - win! We have a trial-run camping trip planned soon - nearby and of short duration. I am keeping my fingers crossed that it will go reasonably well! The carrier will be a big part of it. I think they will have to be crated while I cook because our travel trailer isn't large and I don't want them jumping up to investigate the tantalizing smells coming from the gas cooktop. There is more than enough room that we can put a food in with them. I haven't worked out the water situation yet, but I do know that I don't want to put a bowl in with them because it will get spilled. Wish us luck!

Very Pleased - Perfect but extremely hard to assemble
Plenty of room for my two cats to move around, sit or stand up inside. Light weight. Material is very durable and washable. Thoughtfully designed with choices of how to carry. Secures in car nicely using seat belt. Has 3 pockets on the outside for storage. Took 2 days to get the frame to lock into place ... but still worth the aggravation. You'll love this large cat carrier knowing there's plenty of room for your cat to roam, be comfortable, and every side has mesh windows that roll up with velcro so you cats can see outside ... your furry baby will feel safe inside too. My two cats are 12 and 18 years old ... placing them inside is easy without stress. If you have just one cat ... I suggest getting the next size down if possible. Great for extra large cats or small dogs.

Best Long Haul Car Carriers
These are hands down the best long haul car carriers that I've used. I've had to transport my two cats (petite senior female and big/tall/long boy) from the Midwest to down south on five separate 15+ hour long car trips. These are straight drive trips, stopping for gas only. I've previously used the large sleepypod circular carriers and the large sturdibag carriers. While both got the job done and kept them contained, ultimately the cats slept hot, cramped, and uncomfortable. Found these carriers on Amazon and I'm 100% happy with this purchase. Yes they are large, but I could fit two side by side in the backseat of a Volkswagen Tiguan. They were tall enough for my cats to sit completely upright comfortably, and the were long enough for my slinky boy to lay almost completely stretched out. The frames are sturdy metal and the pad inside is adequate. I feel like there's plenty of space to insert your own pad or cat bed instead. The zipped flaps are amazing, with one side of the carrier opening completely. This made it easy to get the cats in and out but also was a huge window for them to see me and their surroundings. Overall, the price, size, and durability of these carriers make them an excellent long haul option. The best one in my opinion. PLEASE NOTE: my cats are not scratchers or biters, so I can't say how well the zipped flats would hold up against that. In my experience, the zippers and flaps have held up give against head bunting and "let me out" face pushing.

Nice Carrier
I got this carrier for my 19lb Maine Coon. I got this because of the size so she can fit comfortably in a carrier. It is pretty big so it can be a bit bulky, but it's a lot better than my plastic carrier I had for her. It fits her well and she looks comfortable in it. I love the 3 way opening it has. The only issues I have are that it can be a little difficult to put the rods in together sometimes. The bottom of the carrier is thin so there's no support. The included padding does nothing and it doesn't stay in place either so I'll have to find a substitute to put on the bottom. Last unfortunate thing is that one of the zipper handles came broken. Which is quite minor but it shouldn't have come broken. Overall, a nice carrier and easy to unassemble to store it out of the way.

Very Spacious
I needed an upgrade carrier for my cat since she’s not a baby any more & her carrier was too small for her. I wanted something large where she can still stand, sit, & lay down & this carrier was my first pick & I’m very pleased with it! My cat now has room so when we travel & go to vet appointments I don’t have to worry about her being so tight & crammed in her carrier. I also love that there are 3 pockets so I can keep her vet documents in one & her harness in the other then treats & miscellaneous in the third. My cat does get anxiety while being in the car so I’m hoping having a large space to move around in will help her a bit. The carrier it’s self is sturdy & great quality in my personal opinion & it’s easy to assemble just make sure you assemble the bottom part by locking it in first before you do the top haha I figured that out the hard way. I also love that you can take the top bars apart for storage since it is such a large carrier. & I love that there is three compartments to get in & out & that the ventilation is so much better! I also love that they have clips that can hold the zippers in place so my pet can’t escape though she doesn’t try it’s a nice feature! I’m excited to be able to strap her into the car as well with the designated buckle area instead of just buckling the strap around her carrier without that extra support.

Purrfect
This is a great solution to upgrade my kitty carrier. The one he had from being a kitten wasn’t working for longer trips anymore. He didn’t like that he couldn’t stand up in it and let me know by trying to claw his way out and meows on 15 min drives. Zero complaints the last time we took this drive with the new carrier. He was immediately interested and in it before I even had it set up. He has enjoyed going in and out of it over the last week while it has been set up in the house. He is 12lbs for reference. Pros: collapses to a smaller footprint, fits on front passenger seat, seatbelt loops, tall enough for a cat to stand up in. It could hold two cats if needed but isn’t overkill for one to travel. Lightweight. Storage pocket. Plenty of mesh for ventilation and Velcro to keep the windows open. Handle and shoulder strap options. Bottom liner is soft and will be easy to clean. Cons: won’t work for air travel due to size, mesh material doesn’t seem sturdy enough to hold up to claws if they were applied to it with determination (not a deal breaker for me as he seems happy traveling in it and the price would be worthwhile to repurchase if I had to down the line).

Buy it!
My cats absolutely love this carrier. I anticipated that this was gonna be a larger cat carrier, but it was even bigger in person which was a nice surprise. My cats took it right away, and they love to lounge in this thing! Overall, I think it could use a little more stability on the bottom of the carrier, but overall it’s great! Definitely recommend, especially if you have a larger size cat!

Seatbelt function doesn’t function
The carrier is ok. One of the reasons why I bought this one was the ability to use a seatbelt. I drive a Ford Expedition. A big truck. Apparently not big enough to use the seatbelt and this carrier. Otherwise, it works fine.
