Better than Montreal Steak Seasoning!!
Rufus Teague Steak Rub has completely transformed my approach to seasoning steaks. For years, my go-to was Montreal steak seasoning, a classic choice that seemed unbeatable in enhancing the natural flavors of beef. However, upon trying Rufus Teague Steak Rub, I was pleasantly surprised by the depth and complexity it added to my meals. This rub brings a perfect balance of smoky, sweet, and slightly spicy notes, elevating the steak's taste without overpowering its natural essence. Unlike the Montreal seasoning, which primarily relies on its garlic, pepper, and salt trio, Rufus Teague's blend introduces a broader spectrum of flavors, making each bite more interesting and satisfying. If you're a steak lover who uses spices other than good ol' salt and pepper, this is what you want.
Coffee. That's part of the secret to this rub. It gives steaks a special flavor people aren't expecting. I used to get it an our local grocery store, but they stopped carrying it. I saw it several places on the Amazon site for $10 and up. I looked around a little more and found someone who had 2 bottles left at $3.50 each. Score! I haven't tried it on anything except steak yet, so I can't comment on how it would taste with pork or poultry. The coffee gives it a flavor that might be too "heavy" or intense for anything but beef.

Great Rub!
After finding this rub at the KC Airport, I had to have more. The steak rub is great - we put it on steak, eggs, veggies - pretty much everything as our go-to seasoning. I would buy it in a bigger container, if possible. Maybe see if Costco will pick it up!

Great on sirloin strips!
Love it on steak and burgers, but if you are salt conscious , stay away. Personally I love the taste, and I use it all the time. Again if you are watching your blood pressure, and salt is a no no in your diet, stay away

This was the product that began our family's obsession with Rufus Teague, and now it is the only steak rub we use. We have also tried their other rubs and have never been disappointed.
