I lost the kitchen shears that originally came with my knife block, so I picked up this HENCKELS replacement hoping it would match what I had before. Thankfully, it’s essentially identical. These are the kind of scissors I end up using for just about everything. Opening packaging, trimming food, breaking down boxes and they’ve held up really well. The blades stay sharp even with frequent use, and they still cut cleanly without needing constant maintenance. Fit was important to me, and this one slides right into my knife block exactly like the original, which was a big plus. No awkward adjustments or mismatched sizing. Compared to cheaper kitchen scissors I’ve tried in the past, these feel more solid and dependable. They don’t loosen up or struggle with tougher materials. Overall, it’s a straightforward replacement that performs just like I expected. If you need to replace a lost pair from your set or just want a durable, all-purpose kitchen shear, this is an easy choice.

This is my second pair of this exact shears. After more than ten years my old pair needed to be replaced. Unfortunately the pivot point is not adjustable. Once the blades get loose the shears do not cut. Based on the price I definitely got my money’s worth.

Wide for small hands when open but definitely makes light work of portioning raw or cooked chicken.

These scissors are very sharp and cut well. Make sure to get the ones made in Japan. I have another pair of nearly identical Henckels scissors made in China and the quality is totally different!
