These fit in my 1/4" hex shank drills easily. Sometimes you get stull that is not made to the right dimensions. They also accept the 1/4 bits easily and the magnets hold them in place well. I seem to misplace these regularly so getting five at once is a bonus. Even the little plastic box they came in is useful.

I finally started using them on the job last week, they have done exactly what I needed them to do. But, the magnet Inside the one that I used decided to break and now 1/3 of it is missing. I'm not sure if the magnets on all of them are going to break this easy or if this one was defective, but it doesn't show promise that the first job I use it on causes lasting damage. Other than that, the magnet is better than average. It isn't super strong. There are jobs that require me to install screws while on a two story ladder with only one hand, so having a really strong magnet can mean the difference between a 5 min install or a 30 min and 15 dropped screw install in that instance. Better than what I had, but not where I would like it to be.

The magnetic strength on these is as close to ideal as I can imagine. They hold the bit in without having to be a strongman to get the bit back out. I ordered a 5 pck expecting that I might lose some of the extension bit holders while woring on a backyard project. I was overly worried. I didn't lose a single one, and also did not lose any of the bits they were holding. A win-win for me. Thank you.
