Ibanez Edge Accessories EJK1000 Guitar Tools

Quality item, works on all my guitars, sturdy, easy to use, value for money

This is a very well made, high precision tool. I was worried if this would fit my 2006 Ibanez Prestige 2570E-VSL. When you google this product, you come across a video that complains that this tool does not fit any Ibanez guitars. The trick to remember is to push the tremolo bar against the guitar body a little, so you can slide the "fork" part of the tool under the fine tuning pegs. Once you slide it and tighten it enough to stay in place, and release the tremolo bar, it clears the guitar body just fine and does not touch it at all. Don't forget to use a really good tuner for the intonation, and the whole process will be a breeze. The moving block also has two height settings to accommodate different bridges, and these are marked on the part itself. 100% recommend this tool.

This is a very well made precision tool made by and for Ibanez floating bridge intonation set up. Please take note that it dose not work on all Ibanez bridges though. I have a 1991 RG-770 with a Low-Pro Floyd Rose and it works great on this set up. My son has a Jem Jr. and this tool dose not fit on the bridge. If your Ibanez has one of the floating bridges listed this tool is amazing, and will save time and make adjusting intonation much easier.

I've got several guitars with a Floyd Rose, but only one Ibanez. The SkyScraper fits all of the Floyd's but it doesn't even come close to fitting the Edge Zero 2. This that thing is huge - solid beauty, that it is. I needed an intonation tool much taller and longer. So this unit the EJK1000 is specifically touted for Ibanez floating bridges. All the pictures and information I found said this is the unit. This thing is solidly built, way better construction than the skyscraper. Unfortunately all Edges are not the same size. So many versions. While this unit does fit well enough to use on the Edge Zero 2, it does not fit properly. You cannot get a solid seating over the tuning knobs. And on the string side, it is too thick to fit in on the low 7th string. It works well enough on the other six. Far better than holding and sliding, screwing and rescrewing while pushing. Always seem to need that third hand, but with an intonation tool it makes it so much easier. Thank heavens you don't have to do this very often.

I can't live without this tool now for my Ibanez guitars. This tool fits in the string hole of the saddle for the bridges equipped with Original Edge bridges, to include one 7 string, but also fits around the bolt of my Edge 3 bridge. This does not fit my Schecter Hellraiser FR bridge but that's to be expected. The Hellraiser bridge doesn't have any place to mount to because the saddle is too close to the fine tuner knob and it's not possible to clip onto the string locking bolt just so you know. This tool makes it so much more convenient to intonate though! I set it up and then tighten the knob just 3 tiny tightens so that the saddle begins to pull. You'll notice your pitch will increase slightly when you do this. Loosen the saddle locking bolt and then with your locking nut bolts loosened, you need to tune your guitar string to whatever pitch you want. Get that in tune as best you can, I shot for 3 cents, and then press the 12th fret to see if the needle is sharp or flat. Pretty easy to understand though. If your open tuned dead on and you play the 12th fret and the needle says your sharp, then you move the saddle in the direction of the tuning needle. If you're sharp, you move the saddle to the right. If you're flat, you move the saddle to the left. For right handed guitarists that is. Or if you're flat, move the saddle towards the pickups. If you're sharp, move the saddle away from the pickups. What I did is if I were say 7 cents off and sharp, I would tighten the knob 6 times and then because I raised the pitch, I would use the tuning keys to go back to the pitch I want on the open string. Get in tune, finger the 12th fret, and then verify if I'm sharp or flat. You'll get the feel of how many tiny rotations you need to bring that 12th fret tuning into the center. This is way faster than any other method though and if you continue to use the same strings, you shouldn't have to do this very often if at all. I enjoy setting up guitars and making them perfect so I really appreciate this tool because it gives me pride in my work. Definitely worth the money and the quality is there when you feel it.

This tool was what I needed for my high end 1985 Ibanez JEM777. I used this with my Peterson StroboPLUS HD. Super easy to use. Intonation was flawless measured the next day. Look up videos of how to use this thing, but honestly it is really intuitive once you try to actually use it. Floyd Rose style guitars are love or hate with most people. In order to setup them up you have to block the trem and it can be tricky till you get used to it. Setting intonation with this tool is a breeze and you have fine adjustment capability to get the intonation perfect. Have a Lo-Pro Edge Trem and by flipping block and re-installing can use this on it. If I had a regular floyd rose or regular Ibanez Edge series, could re-flip block and use for them as well. Great product.
