heating a lot
I got the product yesterday night , problem what I am finding is , it is becoming abnormally hot after 10 - 15 mins of using . other wise it ids ok.

Le prix de la qualité mais surtout pour MacBook Pro.
C’est un hub excellent. Matériaux de qualité, chauffe raisonnable, très bonnes performances pour le transfert, la charge et l’ethernet. Je suis passé par de nombreuses marques moins onéreuses mais je l’ai regretté à chaque fois. Un petit bémol cependant. Bien qu’il soit compatible avec les MacBook Air M2, il a été conçu pour MacBook Pro. Sur mon MacBook Air , l’adaptateur dépasse de quelques millimètres au dessus et au dessous du châssis…c’est un peu gênant à ce prix. Je vais donc l’échanger contre la version « slim » qui malheureusement ne possède pas de port ethernet…

Well built.
Bought this as a stop gap until i can afford the Caldigit hub. I find it well built but could do with an extra usb c port but otherwise very impressed so far.

Runs hot, drains power
The Satechi hub sounds good on paper, but I think it's better to explore dongles. This seems to be for portable people, but the hub is distinctly immobilising. Good: Seems like high speed, high quality materials and specs. Bad: Runs hot even with nothing plugged in Zaps power Sharp edges Slightly too high to sit flush. Overall, I wouldn't use this if you want to carry your macbook around. And if you want to stay docked, you can just use a dongle.

Has everything you need for plugins. Looks exactly like my space grey
I like quality goods, and this component is no exception. The design and fit and finish is as high quality as my Macbook itself. The color is perfectly matching and this has all the plugins you will need. I also prefer this attachment because plugs directly into my Mac. The other option of having a cord which connects into the Mac flops around and is not good for me. The last thing I need is another cable. anyway, this is a high quality attachment for all your basic needs. I have only one very small concern is that it gets really warm and wonder if it will cause problems down the road. I have had this attachment for several months now and use it for at least 8-10 hours a day, 5 days a week. Well worth the money.
