How to replace batteries?

At the end of the name 'Southwire' is a small recess. Push in with pin or pencil point and pull the back of the tester out exposing the circuitry. Roll the tester over opposite the pocket clip and the two AAA batteries are exposed.

Does this model make a different tone on nuetral and hot? Its hard to tell which review goes to which model.

The 40116N only produces one tone when it detects AC Voltage.

Is this product made in the USA?

No…. It says in description - product origin China

The tester I received is defective. I am either needing replaced or a refund. I have purchased this product before and am generally satisfied.
