This little trash can is perfect for bathrooms, bedrooms, or any small space. The step pedal works smoothly and feels sturdy, and the lid closes quietly without slamming. I really like the sleek, compact design — it looks nice and doesn’t take up much room. It’s easy to clean, and the removable inner bucket makes changing bags simple. Even though it’s small, it holds more than I expected. Definitely a high-quality, durable option that feels like it will last a long time.

This is a perfect bathroom trashcan. I was looking for a trashcan with a lid that was also a nice white color so it didn't seem too out of place in the bathroom. It seems like a lot of the good small trashcans with lids are either silver or black. This one looks great in the bathroom! The 6 liter size is perfect for bathroom duty as it can hold all your usual bathroom trash (tissues, floss, wrappers, etc.) for several days or more (depending on how many people you have using the bathroom) without overflowing. The top does not "soft close" like some larger Simplehuman trashcans, but since the body and top are plastic instead of metal there isn't much noise when it closes. If you really don't want to have any noise at all you can simply use your foot to control the speed of the lid. The trashcan stays in place when you use the foot pedal and does not slide or pivot towards your foot. Some other trashcans I tried in the store had quirks where they would either try to tip over towards you, or for some reason the interior basket would actually rise up when the lid opened. This one works just like you'd expect and doesn't move or do anything strange when the lid opens. I especially like the removable interior basket. It's simple to just pull the basket out and remove the liner. The Simplehuman liners are great since they fit the edge of the basket perfectly without any excess slack that might cause the bag to either fall into the basket or stick out beyond the lid. Using the official liners adds a little bit of ongoing cost, but in my opinion it's worth it as the trashcan is really designed to work best with the exact sized liners and my frustrations after fighting with oversized bags is one of the reasons I went with Simplehuman to begin with. I own one of the larger Simplehuman trashcans for my kitchen so I was familiar with the brand's quality and the ease of use that the special liners combined with the trashcan provides. This smaller trashcan lives up to the Simplehuman reputation.

TL;DR: Great as a bathroom trash, and as an outdoor dog poop collector. Love it. Note that it is NOT DOG PROOF. I bought this trash can to use outside for my daily dog-poop-pickup. It is perfect for this use. I searched all over in various stores and on amazon for something that would be good for this purpose, and this is it. I keep it outside in the backyard, but somewhat sheltered from the sun and rain. It is able to fit plastic grocery bags, which are perfect to collect the poop and then pull out and toss the whole bag in the larger garbage can when it's full. The foot pedal makes the poop-picking-up process easy, like when you have a large shovel-full (gross) and you don't have an extra hand to open the lid, and you're hurrying as fast as you can to dump it in there so you can stop holding your breath (haha). The can feels sturdy, like it will last. Sure, it isn't as heavy duty as the trash cans that are provided by the trash service, but good enough for general home use. The lid definitely keeps the SMELL INSIDE THE CAN, which is soooo important. Man, when that lid is opened, it is like death... ugh. Luckily the lid drops quickly once you release the foot pedal. The lid is not heavy at all, but it is heavy enough to close quickly and completely without needing to touch it or close it harder. Some other trash cans I've dealt with in the past have really flimsy-closing lids, and you would have to press them again to close them all the way, and those other ones definitely don't keep smells inside; that is NOT the case with this trash can. One thing worth mentioning; This can is NOT DOG PROOF. If you know that your dog is one that likes to mess with things, this can would NOT keep them out. The lid IS ABLE TO OPEN WITHOUT PRESSING THE FOOT PEDAL. A dog could likely get his nose on the lid and open it. Or could tip it over and the contents (gross) would spill all over. My dog doesn't mess with things (so glad), so this is not a factor for me. I will definitely be buying more of this trash can in the future. If I ever have to replace my backyard one, and more for the bathrooms around my house. I was NOT PAID for my review; it is just a good product that I feel deserves rightful recognition.

Absolutely love this trash can! it's the perfect fit for an office or bathroom, where you just need a little waste disposal. It looks amazing and functions just as well. The pedal easily lifts the lid with no issues at all. The thing to make the biggest note of with this trash can, is its size. It is on the small side, so if you need something a bit bigger, you might want to research into something else. This trash can is perfect for q-tips, floss and other miscellaneous bathroom trash, or just your everyday paper trash around the office. Bigger stuff like cans and bottles are going to fill up this little guy quite fast. But I do love the plastic insert, as well as the custom fit trash bags. Makes replacing bags a breeze, and the bags fit nice and snug around the lip of the trash can. No need to ever have to tie a knot, its the perfect fit! This is a perfectly adequate trash can for a bathroom at a very reasonable price. It's certainly not the fanciest one out there, but the pedal works fine, it's easy to clean, and it looks nice enough. It's also possible to hide the liner with a little bit of effort - just make sure the edges get into the space between the inner and outer bucket, and after inserting the inner bucket, push any excess down so there isn't a frill. I use old grocery bags, but really anything should work There isn't any mechanism to close the lid slowly after you take your foot off the pedal, so it will make some amount of noise, but the lid is so light that it's reasonably quiet and I don't expect this will be an issue for most people Likewise, it's not particularly heavy, so if you stomp the pedal the back will momentarily lift up, so just... don't do that Overall, unless you have some very specific needs for stability or noise, I definitely recommend getting this trash can for your bathroom. It's really nice to have a lid so you don't see the contents, and a foot pedal so you don't have to touch the lid

Great little trash can! Does not take up a lot of room and not offensive looking. Plasticis easy to clean.
