Q: is the router bit 1/4 inch xhaft

I believe it's a 1/2" shank but I'm not absolutely sure. It's in my shop up in CT and I'm in NYC at the moment, so I can't check it. I'll check this weekend and send confirmation. But your router should be able to handle 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" shanks with different collets.

I believe the bit is a 3/8 dovetail bit. I bought mine when I bought the jig. I would look up the jig on amazon and go to the "people who bought this item often buy..." I think that's how I got mine. Hope this helps.
