These pieces are so simple to use. Attach them to your window frame so the window can be partially open without concerns of someone gaining access through the window. You can rest in peace at night or when you are away. One word of caution, the pressure screw has a pointed end. That’s not a problem with a metal framed window, but the vinyl framed windows, caution needs to be used so the vinyl is not pierced with that pointed end.

We live in a single level apartment and are fairly close to the parking lot. I needed a way to be able to open our windows at home but feel safe. We have one on our window and our second bedroom window. It is perfect! Easy to install, sturdy, durable, not too big, discreet. Picture of my finger for size reference.

Good feeling of added security but I figure if you leave the window open it could still be jemmied in some ways. But with the window already locked it is double security for me. They do leave a mark as they screw against the side as a "friction" device.

I'd been curious about this product for a long time, and decided to buy one, which was a surprise when I noticed it came in a packet with two. I have several sliding storm windows, which I like to open occasionally to let some fresh air in, but even though the area I live seems to be safe, I felt worried about leaving them open, as there's nothing stopping someone from removing the screens and lifting the windows up to get in. I wanted to buy a few of these, but am glad I ordered one set. I hadn't really thought about how and where they would need to be attached to the windows, until I had them in my hand. I first tried the bedroom window (which is different from the rest of the house). I pushed it into place where it seemed obvious to go, and then tightened the screw after determining how much distance I felt comfortable leaving the window open. I was pleased that it attached perfectly, it was so easy, I wished I'd bought them years ago. Next I tried all the other windows, but unfortunately I couldn't get one to fit. The window in the bedroom, slides sideways, the others slide up the way. In the bedroom the part where the lock attaches, is very narrow, just 1/4", the other windows over 3/8", or 1 cm.to be precise, Unfortunately there's no way these will fit your windows, if the area it needs to slide over, is more than 1/4". I'm happy at least it will fit one window and was worth the money.

Fit is ok. Easy installation and well made. The only downfall I see is that if you tighten too tight it will dimple or damage your window frame.

Excelente producto.... Nota... Hay que utilizar una buena pinza para que quede bien sujeto, obviamente marcara el marco, pero es un muy buen producto!

Produto simples mas muito legal. Trava a janela em várias posições. Como minha trava da janela quebrou, essas mantém seguro e posso deixar uma pequena fresta para entrada de ar. O gato já foi testar e não conseguiu abrir. Aprovado!

Comprei um par para uma das janelas. Testei nela e nas outras janelas (todas de alumínio e com tamanhos diferentes), é simplesmente perfeito, fica bem fixado e é discreto. Recomendo de olhos fechados !!!
