Will it allow the gate to swing both ways, or is it restricted to either in or out?

It will work both ways but it will not have much tension if the gate is only opened a little bit as the spring has to be centered to open both directions, whereas if you are only using it to close a gate in one direction you can rotate one of the clamps slightly so that it always has tension holding the gate closed.

Will this allow me to open the gate past or up to 90°

It will allow you to open as much as you want, but 90 degrees will bend the flex rail. I have 2 of them and they work alright if you only push the gate about 45 degrees open at most. When I push it 90 degrees, like to go thru with my mower, the flex rail bends some and will not close the gate on it's own under normal passage, unless you push it open with a little more torque and release. After the flex rail is bent you have to adjust more tension on it or let it go with enough torque to swing it a little harder. The holders can be adjusted to re-add tension but eventually you will have to pull it off and bend the flex rail back into original shape. It works fine for normal passage at about 45 degrees. Hope that makes sense.

Will this work on a tennis court fence door?

Works on any chain-link fence hardware, as long as the tubing diameters are within the specs for this closer and, just as importantly, the spacing between the door and stationary pole. Too my knowledge, there is no specific “tennis court fence door”, they are typically standard chain-link.

Works like the original before it cracked. Probably was there for 20+ years . A very good quality product. Just remember to adjust the lower slide to increase/decrease tension. (Sta-Klos gate closer)

This thing is simple and effective. Quality parts, simple to install, easy to adjust. I had to make adjustments to the gate first, to make proper space for the closer. After installed, this thing just works. Hasn’t needed any adjustments. We’ll see how it continues to work o er time and thru winter weather.
