**Q: Will the dishes scratch when cutting with a knife????**
A: ABSOLUTELY! I've had a couple of sets of Pflatzgraff light-colored stoneware and every time a metal piece of flatware or cookware came in contact with it, the metal created a gray mark that looked like a scratch. It would take LOTS of elbow grease to get the marks off. Why can't Pfaltzgraff figure it out and correct it? Their name on dinnerware no longer equates with the quality you could expect decades ago.

**Q: Are they chip resistant?  Thx.**
A: No, they chip very easily. Quality is very disappointing.

**Q: Do these have a yellow cast? Are they cream or white?**
A: I would say they are on the cream side. I love them! Thick, heavy duty!

**Q: I see they're embossed. Are they flat or have the bumps from the embossing?**
A: They have bumps from the embossing. They are really a beautiful set.

One of the main reasons I purchased this set of dishes over other choices was the size of the coffee cups was larger! I select the 10oz option on my Keurig coffee pot and add creamer so I need a good size coffee cup to accommodate. The design has just the rights amount of detail for me. The edges of all the dishes have reddish brown brush strokes add a rustic look. The dimpled pattern makes medallion shapes and floral-like shapes. The bowls are deep which is another reason I chose this set. I am pleased!
