I take it because it is recommended for boosting platelet production. I have ITP and consistently have a low blood count resulting in bruising and bleeding. I was getting tested monthly for the past 5 months b/c my doc was getting concerned again about my platelet count dipping too low. Having taken the pricier H***al G00d. ness brand for three months, my platelets only went from 108 to 113k. Then I switched to Harmony and took as directed. After one month on Harmony brand, my platelets jumped from 113 to 134k. Brilliant! Of course, for me, papaya leaf extract in general has a trade off - hematocrit & hemoglobin jump dramatically which is not good.
