The inductive pick-up is not properly clamped. It should clamp on the NO.1 spark plug wire and the arrow should be pointing towards the spark plug.

1) Check if the inductive clip is clamped in place. 2) Perhaps there is interference from the external ignition system, or the spark plug ignition is not so stable. First, check if the spark plug is aging, and if so, replace the spark plug first.

WHY light isn’t flash or light flashes intermittently

1)Swap the clamps over. 2)Make sure the clamps are connected to a clean place. 3) Engine speed should be maintained below 3500RPM. 4)Move the pick-up wire away from the other wires.

1）Motorcycles with magneto ignition system, which CAN be tested with this timing light. 2)When testing motorcycles, 2 strokes should be selected, the engine speed should be strictly controlled below 3500rpm.
