It was easy to assemble and it's even easier to use. I love that I can hit my pecs hard from several angles and though I rarely do leg extensions my hamstrings love lying leg curls. If you want heavy duty, for a decent price and don't have a lot of space for a full size squat rack this bench set is perfect, strong, and stable. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A "Marcy" bench/rack from Impex, some good, some bad *by O***Y on April 19, 2013* I ordered this because I wanted/needed a separate bench and rack. I'm happy with that aspect, the bench and rack are well made and were very easy to assemble with clear instructions. A previous reviewer mentioned the incline 'hooks' under the back felt loose, but I don't find that on mine. Once assembled and tightened it was solid and comfortable with no wiggle at all and felt quite secure. Whether it will loosen over time only time will tell. Overall I found the whole setup to be reasonably well made and I'm almost completely happy with it.PRO'S: The long bench fits me well at 6'+, also the rack is tall enough when extended to permit me an almost level take off for squats, easy on, easy off. The leg raise/curl unit works well. I haven't tried the preacher curl as yet, But then I'm not likely to as the leg machine is in the way (see 'cons').CONS: 1st: ( Listen up Impex!! ) This is not advertised as an "olympic" bench, but does come with a plastic sleeve and 2 inch clamp on the leg machine accommodate olympic plates. What it does NOT come with is a one inch spring clamp to hold standard weight plates on the steel shaft of the leg machine. I had to buy a pair separately, which is a waste considering only one will ever be used. C'mon Impex, you saved saved yourself a few cents by not including a single one inchclamp in an otherwise decent package!2nd: The leg machine is okay, but it's a PITA having it hanging there (in the way) when you want to use the preacher pad or if you want to use the incline bench just as a bench! It wouldn't have taken a lot of effort or planning to set this up so that the end of the bench could be bare, and then either the leg machine OR the preacher pad being made to drop into the pipe as the preacher pad does now. That would have been a great accommodation, and worth another $20-$40 bucks easily! I would have paid that!3rd: The separate rack is great, adjustable up and down and very stable. BUT, but those knurled knobs that hold the vertical adjustment are a MAJOR pain in the A$$!! I put this together this morning for my first workout on this nice new setup and very quickly found that having to completely remove these knobs just to change the height of the bar throughout my routine is really irritating and time consuming. I can tell you right now I'll be taking the uprights apart and taking them out to my drill press so I can change the height with a simple half inch slip pin rather than fiddling around with that setup you have on there now! You saved pennies by not including a one inch spring clip and wasted a whole lot more on this 'screw in the knob, screw out the knob' setup! ### ⭐ One Star *by M*** on September 17, 2015* Product came damaged half of the hardware missing.
