FARSENSE USB to DC 12V Step Up Power Cable (3ft), DC Jack 5.5 x 2.5mm (3.5 x 1.35mm) USB Boost Converter with LED Indicator

Allows me to run my we boost of my jackery and leave my 12v cable up front. Wish it was longer but it works great.

My truck only has USB, no 12v outlet, as most newer vehicles do. So I got this to run a radar detector off the USB port in my dash. I have a 12v Cobra radar detector and this USB cable seems to work fine, so far, powering it up off my truck USB port. I've read most radar detectors draw under 1 amp so this little converter should hold it with no problems. BUT I wouldn't try to power anything bigger like a 12v air compressor, I don't think it would work One bummer is that the USB port in my truck is always on so I have to unplug this before I leave the truck, which is not a huge deal (until it kills my battery one day). Overall it's pretty useful and inexpensive, so it's worth getting. I have a feeling a lot of people need this and don't know about it. Also I ended up using the tip adaptor to fit my radar detector and it fit perfect. I ordered another cable like this and the tips did not fit.

worked perfect. if you purchased a milwaukee heated jacket from home depot you need this to be able to run the jacket off of a portable phone charger.

If you are buying this device to power a 12V laptop lap fan or anything else 12V required it will blow your USB port. This must be used with an external usb power supply something that provides enough amps safely. This will work but will over overheat the power lane on your laptop cause and in time cause it to burn out. I'm giving this a one star as this is something that should be boldly stated on their product page. THIS IS NOT SAFE FOR LAPTOP USB USAGE and probably other lower power USB ports. The device itself also gets hot while being used which many others have mentioned. Thankfully my laptop is under warranty and I didn't blow the port on a $5,000 laptop

Good multi pack for home or travel as needed

This thing has honestly surprised me. I got it to replace the cheap "cigarette lighter" power thing for an in car child camera system that failed, and it works great off a normal 5V USB port. I've also used it for a raspberry pi CM4 on the official IO board (no PCI-e stuff, just the CM4 running Raspbian and a couple other operating systems for some short term testing, but it worked great! Even handling my overclocking of the CM4 to what I believe is the limits of the silicon.)

When the light goes off I use it with a power bank to the router to have internet connection

This is used to power a portable astrophotography mount Skywatcher AZ-GTi that requires 12V 0.75A power source. This is either connected to a USB-A port of a powerbank or a MeLE Quieter 3C mini PC as a source and works perfectly fine to supply the needed power. The boost converter seems to be inbuilt into the USB-A port itself, that is slightly longer than usual and has an indicator LED too. The DC pin fits the mount well. Overall great cable for the purpose. Worth buying.
