Rosemary and basil are doing great.
I transplanted my store bought herb plants and used this soil, my basil has grown a lot this past week and has gotten darker green, the plant seems to be doing very well now. The Rosemary is growing well too, gained some length on the branches. I also planted some chive seeds in a pot and two containers of cat grass, I can’t wait to see how quickly it sprouts because the soil is very rich so I’m sure they will do well. With what it has done for my store bought herbs, I couldn’t be happier and I can wait to see how well it does with seeds. The price is very good for the amount that I got, I was able to transplant two herb plants and start three more pots from seeds. I also love that the soil is not really dense too, it is actually just right for my window planters.

Perfect soil mix for thriving indoor and outdoor plants
This soil blend is an excellent choice for gardening enthusiasts, offering everything needed to support healthy plant growth. The texture is light and fluffy, allowing for excellent aeration and drainage while still retaining enough moisture to keep roots hydrated. I used it for repotting my houseplants and starting some herbs, and the results were outstanding—plants perked up almost immediately and showed robust growth within weeks. What sets this product apart is its organic composition, free of chemicals, which is perfect for those looking to grow edible plants safely. The addition of natural fertilizers provides a noticeable boost without overpowering sensitive plants. It’s versatile enough to work for both indoor pots and outdoor garden beds. Delivery was seamless; the soil arrived in perfect condition, sealed tightly with no spillage. Overall, this is a premium-quality soil blend that’s worth every penny for plant lovers. Highly recommended!

Good Quality Potting Mix, But Be Mindful of Mushrooms
recently purchased this potting mix, and overall, I’m quite satisfied. The soil feels light, airy, and well-draining, which made planting very easy. My plants seem to be thriving so far, and the mix retains moisture without feeling too soggy. However, about a week after planting, I noticed some small mushrooms popping up in the pot. While it initially worried me, I learned that this is common with organic-rich soil mixes. The mushrooms are harmless and indicate the presence of healthy microorganisms. I just removed them and adjusted my watering routine to avoid overwatering. Pros: • Light, airy texture • Holds moisture well without becoming compact • Perfect for indoor and outdoor plants Cons: • Mushrooms may appear due to the organic material • Requires careful moisture management to avoid fungal growth

Plants seem to like it
I'm gardening for the first time in a long time and lazily putting together a container garden. I've tried a couple different potting mixes with my seedlings and my forget-me-not especially is thriving in this soil. It's the only plant I have in 100% this mix, the others I did a mix of this and Miracle Gro moisture control soil. The forget-me-not is the healthiest and happiest by far. My dahlias and cape daisies are also doing well in a 50/50 mix of this and the Miracle Gro. And then my catnip plants are in a completely different type of potting mix and kinda struggling so maybe I should put them in this instead. I'm repotting my forget-me-not soon and remembered I'm out of this mix, was sure to buy more. The only negative is I had a couple really huge pieces of wood, I just tossed them. Good stuff! And cheap.

GNATS 🪰
EDIT 2: The absolute misery we're going through from these gnats is hard to put into words. I've spent hundreds of dollars purchasing sprays, sticky pads, zapping devices, and extermination services. I'm still inundated by these gnats. I have houseplants I've nurtured for a decade that I'm considering throwing away now. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- EDIT: The manufacturer reached out. They are in the process of remediating the issue. They suggest pouring boiling water on their soil when you receive it to kill whatever might be living inside. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ORIGINAL REVIEW: As I sit here, uploading pictures for this review, I'm watching a gnat get stuck to the sticky trap of which I included a picture for your reference. How do I know the gnats came from this soil in particular? Because I went to use the soil the other day to fill a new pot, and I ended up pouring out a cloud of gnats 🪰🪰🪰🪰. The bag was very well sealed and kept inside a clean laundry room cabinet for several weeks. I've used dozens of sticky traps over the past few weeks and am getting ready to order more. The gnats are everywhere. Oh look, one just landed on my shirt as I type this sentence. The manufacturer hasn't responded at all. I'll just assume they know this is an issue and they won't do anything about it.

I cannot rate this fairly, so I will say 3 for now.
When I first got the product I stored as usual, but when I went to Jude it it was full of insects. The entire bag was no good. I am not willing to blame the manufacturer. I will try this product again because it looked great when got it. It could have been tainted at the local warehouse, or even in my short term storage, thought I’ve found any other insects in anything else I have. I will try them again in the near future and update this review and leave a new one based on the new product I receive. I did not ask for a refund, again because I believe this void have happened at the warehouse or during transport. I have no bad, nor glowing words for this company yet… but their reputation seems very good, and I am more than willing to give them another chance. Blessings!

Fine dirt
Did a bunch of repotting and this soil did fine. There’s no muss or fuss regarding there being pre-added chemicals or whatnot to consider. I’d recommend having a fertilizer or natural plant food at the ready to fortify as you see fit. Lots of small twigs and such in the biomass here. Not a problem but if you are used to finely filtered loose soil, this has more of a consistency of partially composted mulch.
