Perhaps I was sent the wrong size? No instructions. Contractor is experienced in custom tiled showers, so not sure what the hangup was exactly, but the product obviously failed to be usable. It did look nice, however, if you know what to do with it. Review: I know, it's a drain right! - I know, its a drain right? Well it functions just like it is supposed to. The wife even said she liked it. It has a strainer that is easily removed for cleaning and the brass trap can also be easily removed (you unscrew it) for clean out. We are happy with this product. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The drain/strainer is well built and good looking but it's now useless as an check valve ... *by P***. on August 10, 2016* I had a problem with the short valve not letting the water through quick enough so I gave it 1 star. The manufacturer immediately emailed me to understand the issue. I explained it and they sent me a new shallow and deep valve. I have a very high flow rate shower and with the shallow valve I get a little backup of water, but it fully drains in less then a minute once I turn off the water. The drain itself is the best looking 1 I saw during my search, especially at the price. The customer service is excellent. I highly recommend this as a drain extender if your tiling over old tile or as a drain for a new shower.
