They are not flexible at all, and are not a flat smooth surface -- there is a lip that is the cutting edge of the die. I would recommend shopping for a stencil rather than a die -- the stencil will be smooth and flat. **Q: I have a sizzle and cannot get a clean cut. Any secret to it with these dies? Very disappointed.** A: 1. Place waxed paper between die and cardstock.2. Use a shim.3. If cutting plate is very worn, Use a new one.4.
