Not worth the money if prepping for CHC exam
I just started reading this book and was disappointed in the content in regards to it being geared toward the CHC exam. I was hoping it would follow along with what the CHC exam information guidelines suggest, but it falls short. I also didn’t find the study tips to be useful. Unfortunately it is outside the window of return. I suggest to stick with HCCA’s Compliance 101.

Outdated Information
Please save your time and money by avoiding this book. It contains outdated information - for example the HIPDB which no longer exists. HCCA’s Compliance 101 is the book you want to purchase if you are studying for the CHC exam. It is more expensive than this book, but it contains correct information and will help you pass the exam. The OIG and OCR websites contain a plethora of information and they are totally free.

Not what’s needed for the CHC exam
Agree with other poster that this book contains a lot of info, but not the information that will help you pass the CHC. The CHC exam is 100% scenario based and this book is all about facts, laws and regs. While the HCCA book is more expensive it IS what you will need to pass.

Save your money
Save your money and buy HCCA’s Compliance 101 book instead. The HCCA book authors write exam questions. This book was a random copy paste of topics that seemed just a short wiki search. Very disappointing.

Not relevant.
The practice exam questions are highly detailed and not relevant. Read the compliance 101 book.
