### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Quality Workmanship
*by D***E on September 26, 2018*

UPDATE 4 Nov 2018I must say if I could give this thing six stars I would!! It has survived car washes and works great! I painted mine white and am very pleased with it after a couple of months. The mechanism still works smoothly. I had it mounted as close to the back as feasible in my 1996 Chevy Astro and am very pleased with my decision. A little rain comes through with it open, but just a few drops, so I'm not worried. That's if it rains hard and I have it all the way open [Georgia Summer normal for me]. I definitely recommend this one. If I ever want to replace it with a Fantastic Fan, it will fit in the existing hole. That was a major deciding factor for me, that I could install a Fantastic Fan myself if I wanted to, and I definitely wanted an all metal vent. The trim is plastic, but the vent itself is all metal. It fit in between the last and next to last metal rib at the back of my van. Thanks for a quality product!I received it in a few days and the fella who installed it for me said it was very easy, even though he had not installed one on a van. I love the way it looks. I painted it white to match my van and love the fact that it is solid metal except for the inside collar piece, which is plastic. This slides inside the bottom of the vent, which is all metal. The screen is heavy duty. Solid construction. The mechanism works smoothly. To clean the screen there is the one phillips-head screw in the metal handle. there is a flimsy notched square of sheet metal that fits on the handle to keep the fit tight, but it does the job. I took it apart to paint it and got it back together right the second time. The first time I put the mechanism in I used the wrong set of holes and had trouble with the square shim, but you won't have to disassemble it to clean the screen. I love the metal lid! I read many reviews on fans which have complaints about the plastic lids shattering when hit by tree limbs in storms. Not this lid! And, the vent has the standard size footprint as the Fantasic Fan and other fans I was considering. This vent has holes in the bracket that might accept a small fan, so I'm thinking about installing one temporarily. In the meantime, with this vent at the back of my van and windows down, it keeps the temperature down, since my A/C doesn't work yet.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It worth it.
*by B***N on May 25, 2020*

It is what it is, nothing more nothing less.. it’s a $50 metal rv vent with big screen. And yes to those future purchasers lacking brain cells..... It has sharp edges so if you’re dense wear gloves or try inhaling water... but don’t give a bad review on behalf of your low IQ 🤦‍♂️Installed in a rv I’m building, I put a 12v fan kit in it and am using it for an exhaust fan above my rv stove.Only negative would be the white “seal” is more hard plastic than rubber so the seal is decent... but I went to home depot and got nice rubber door seal and put that on and now it’s golden. One peace of advice with any hand crank vent. Close them slowly so the lid don’t do that violent bouncing action... it’ll make the crank system last longer.Would I buy again, yes.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great value.

I needed a low profile vent because I have a roof rack so I got this one. It came with some light foam inside that I removed and added my own insulation. I also painted it to match the van. It does come with a cover for the inside, but I haven’t installed yet until I finish installing ceiling panels. It’s great! It’s easy to install and functions smoothly.
