Rust-Oleum Metallic Gold Spray Paint

I ordered this in silver and LOVE it! If you're looking for a mirror kind of metallic finish, this isn't for you. This is very shiny and almost glitter like. It's crazy because you can see the silver flakes as you spray it on but it doesn't make a crazy mess. What's crazier is you pretty much can't mess up with this stuff! It doesn't run like normal paint! And once it dries it's not like some sort of cheap glitter spray that comes off when you touch it. When you spray it, it stays... **Updating this to say I ordered more- this stuff is amazing still! I'm going to use it to paint a display case because it's so easy to work with! I'm HORRIBLE at painting and always get drips but not with this stuff! The one thing I can say is if you're planning on spraying glass i'm not sure about the durability.. I bought this to spray the insides of purple mason jars with and tried spraying water droplets in there to get a "mercury glass" effect... It didn't work out for me so after it dried I got a scrubber and it came right off and that was a couple of days later even... BUT that being said I cleaned the jar out and resprayed it directly on the glass with nothing else and it bonded a bit better. If it's not going to be rubbed or touched then it should stay on... So spraying the insides of jars and such should be just fine. As far as drying time, it is CRAZY fast! It dries quicker than anything i've seen.. I'm not sure if the same results carry across with every color but with silver it dried so fast that I only waited a couple minutes between coats! DEFINITELY will buy again!

Excellent product! I was a bit hesitant because the cap looked too shiny. I was afraid it might look tacky but it has a beautiful satin finish. I painted these black planters with their stand and I didn't use a primer and I would say the coverage was great.

I have always used this brand and been very happy with it. I wanted to sand the rust off a metal shower caddy rather than buying a new one, and I was excited to have a little project. The job went very well, and the result was perfect. The only reason I took a star away from my review is that I had to have a very strong person open the top, and even he found it difficult. I’m not exactly a weakling, but I could never have opened it myself. Since so many women do DIY projects, making a cap that isn’t user-friendly, unless someone is a brawny male, is bad for repeat business. Next time I need a rustproof spray paint, I will probably look for one that I can open easily in the store.
