What a great lighter that works every time. It is well made of quality materials and easy to refill.

Any cigar smoker who has traveled by airline knows that one of the biggest challenges is finding a "light" for your cigar once on the ground. FAA regs. forbid torch lighters on flights. If you have ever tried to light a cigar in a (even mildly) windy place - like a cruise ship deck) - you know my pain. This is especially true on cruises or visits to certain places outside the U.S., where it is impossible to purchase a disposable torch lighter. I was skeptical at first, but I bought one of these and took it along on my trip to central Europe last fall. The airlines DO allow you to bring non-torch butane lighters on board (only in your carry-on luggage) - two of them, I believe. Plus, you should be able to find the lighter inserts for this thing almost anywhere. I was able to pack the lighter mechanism in my checked bag, and two butane (flip my bic type) lighters in carry-on. And guess what? This thing works! I recommend it to cigar smokers.

This lighter is decent, IF, and only if you get a good one. I have 3 and only 2 worked. One immediately failed, leaked, caught fire and burned me. I was lucky to not have it blow up in my hand! It’s a gamble, be careful!! Soto is not a good brand by any means. The one leaked within the first fill and lighting. I had to put it on the ground and cover it with a towel to put it out after getting a minor burn. However the other 2 work ok. Flame adjustment is very unpredictable . Each one act differently even with the same fuel. But, I’d use them over Bic just because you can refill them. But they are very cheap lighters! If it wasn’t refillable I’d give 1 star

Great lighter by itself just fantastic paired with the torch head.

Didn't last very long. One started to crack, as described on the safety label, after just a few months and the refill valve also failed. The flint is not replaceable as far as I can tell. Not much value here. I do like that the butane level is so easy to see through the clear plastic.

Fuel leaked out of both lighters. Unfortunately I waited to long to try these out and am no longer able to return them. Waste of money.
