These are harder plastic that the flimsy ones that come with the clippers. I bought a set from a barber supply and I love them. I use them with my wahl seniors, and with Jrl's. They fit perfectly. I’ve always disliked snap on clipper guards because they either pop off in the middle of a haircut, or they are equipped with springs that make them a pain to attach and remove, so I’ve always used magnetic guards until I bought and used these. They are very sturdy, they are very easy to attach and very easy to remove, and once they are snapped in place, they do not move around, they do not wiggle around or rattle, and most importantly, they stay on the clippers and do not pop off in the middle of a haircut. On top of that, they are very consistent and they don’t leave any lines when you’re using them- the cut is very clean. They’re also very durable and well built.
