What EXACTLY is the purpose of these glasses? A lot of reviewers said NOT to use them for night driving or driving in general, so what then?

You CAN use these for night driving but I would NOT ADVISE it. There have been a few times I wore these while friving at night and nearly hit somebody who was crossing the street which wasn't really well lit. I know I WOULD have seen these people if I had NOT been wearing these glasses. So, yeah, while they do help with headlight glare from other vehicles, I no longer wear them while driving at night.They are great for computer eyestrain though.

are they true blue  blocker

YES. It is the LENS that does the blocking (not the seller's description). Both the S0360X and S1933X both have the EXACT same lens: SCT-Orange. So yes, they both block blue light. Also, Consumer reports specifically tested them and said they blocked the MOST blue light.

"We tested three pairs of glasses in our labs for their ability to block blue light, measuring light intensity at all wavelengths to find out how much each lens absorbed. Of the three, only one—the Uvex Skyper safety eyewear (orange tinted), $8—cut out almost all blue light.  The Gunnar Intercept gaming glasses (medium yellow), $53, cut blue light by about half, and the Spektrum Pro Blue Light Blocking Glasses (light yellow), $40, cut it by only about a third." Has anyone tried both this and and the other model they're selling on here, the S1933X? If so, could you please list any big differences?  Quality, color/tint, fit (does one run bigger than the other), etc.....  Thanks.

I have tried both.  I find the S0360X more comfortable.  It is larger and offers protection on the sides as well as front.  The smaller S1933X did not fit well over my glasses.  Contrary to what others have posted, both offer the SAME amount of blue blocking protection as both have the same lens: SCT-Orange.

Do these block blue light from TV?

Consumer Reports did a review of three different brands/styles of glasses claiming to block blue light, which included these Uvex Skypers.
