**Q: Can they be used on covered porch**
A: Unless the porch were completely enclosed -- as in a room -- I wouldn't. These can be used in mildly damp locations, laundry rooms, for example, but they are not for outdoor use.

**Q: dimmer switch, do i have to have a dimmer switch or can i just us the on/off normal wall switch?**
A: don't have dimmer switch here, we use the on/off switch to change the temperature of the light color (e.g. dim warm light, warm white & cool white)
