Quiet and My Cats Love It!
I’m really impressed with this cat fountain. It’s super quiet—you can barely hear it running, which is a big plus compared to others I’ve tried that sound like a mini waterfall. My cats were curious right away and now they drink from it constantly. I can tell they’re staying better hydrated because they prefer the moving water. Setup was quick and simple, and cleaning it is easy as well. The stainless steel top looks nice and feels sturdier than plastic models. I also like that it has different drinking areas so each cat can find a spot they prefer. If you’re looking for a reliable, quiet fountain that cats actually enjoy using, I definitely recommend this one.

Perfect switch
This water fountain has been really nice for my kitty. I changed it and upgraded to this one as opposed to the old plastic-bodied one I had before, and I can say this one keeps cleanier looks sleeker, and keeps the water fresher and less dirty. I have been using it for around 6 months and can say it's really nice and quiet. I would buy this again.

I love this!
UPDATE: Don't purchase. Stopped working suddenly. We clean this every single week, and took good care of it. I have been searching high and low for a water fountain that wasn't hard to put together, wasn't hard to clean, the filters were not super expensive, it wasn't poorly made and the cost wasn't through the roof. It was a tall bill, so it took me some time and research. After dealing with the tediousness of another water fountain that is currently in the garage collecting dust, I decided to try again. I wanted my little cat to get enough water in her diet, and noticed she loves playing with the water faucets in our home. Studies show that cats drink more from fresh sources of water, free flowing basically, so, I wanted to give it another go versus refilling her little water bowl every day with Spring water, that she barely touched. I took this baby out of the box, and had it up and running in less than 7 minutes. It would have taken less time actually, but you need to soak the new filter in water for 5 minutes, so there's that. I found this very easy to assemble, and clean up doesn't look too bad at all! Best of all, my cat took right to it and is enjoying it. It is super quiet, too. I love that it is stainless steel as well. My only con, well, I have two actually, and the first one a small one, is that the cord has to be threaded through versus on the outside of the unit. That's a little annoying, but other than that, I am thus far, happy with this purchase. The other con is that you can't see the water level, so, you have to lift the lid and look. If they gave this a window for a view, I would upgrade in a heartbeat. I only have the one cat right now, and she is furless due to her breed, so cleaning this fountain every 2 weeks, as suggested, would be fine, but I am sure because of this, I could push it to every 3 weeks with no issue. Each household is different, so you'll need to make your own call on that. All in all, great fountain. Kitty approved.

Great cat fountain!
The first one we got had a big ol' dent in the box that carried through to the bottom of the metal tub. I submitted to return it and Amazon sent the new one almost immediately, which was nice. The replacement came in perfect condition. It was easy to set up and fill. The cat was afraid of it at first, despite her being a religious sink-drinker. I took off the optional T-shaped piece to make it mimic how water pools in the bottom of the sink and she seemed less skittish. It's not especially loud, I hardly notice it, but maybe it was a lot for her as a new introduction to the house, not sure. We tried it in a couple of different locations around the house and finally found one where she liked it after about a week. Now she drinks from it all the time. Win! We clean it once a week (even though the instructions say 2, most things I've read about cat fountains recommend cleaning them more often). It's easy enough to clean, but there are some nooks and crannies to be aware of, namely around the lip of the dish and where the filter feeds from. Nothing a test tube brush or other small bottle brush can't scrub, but just something to be aware of if you don't have one of those hanging around. Overall really happy with this purchase! I did a lot of reading up on cat fountains before I bought this one, and I chose it because it was stainless steel, reasonably priced, acknowledged that you need to clean the pump, and didn't look too complicated to put together or clean. I can say it definitely hits all those marks. As for longevity, only time will tell, but about a month in it's going strong! My only negative would be that I wish it had an on/off switch so that it didn't have to be fully unplugged to refill or clean. I see that's a "feature" of a lot of cat fountains sadly, not really sure why, but it would be nice to have that in an upgraded model someday.

It took 5 months for my cat to use it!
I looked at a lot of fountains before deciding on this one. I removed the flower parts from the top so that the water just bubbles up from the center. It is not loud - it's moving water, so of course I can hear it, and it does get louder as the water level gets lower, but it is never what I consider loud. It holds a good amount of water, and it is easy to clean. I have washed all parts, except the pump, of course, in the dishwasher, but more often, I just wash them by hand. I love that the water basin and the top where cats drink are made of stainless steel. If I was going to ask for anything to be different it would be that the other parts would also be stainless steel, and it might be nice if there was a way to know the water level without removing the lid, but that has not been a big deal. My cat sometimes slaps the surface of the water in her bowl with her paw a few times before drinking (which can be messy), so I thought she would like the moving water in a fountain. At first, she would just sit at a distance and stare at the fountain. Several times, I noticed her walk by giving it a wide berth and a lot of 'side eye'. I have a camera on it so that I would know if she drank out of it. On very few occasions, I even saw her walk up to it and sniff then walk away while looking at it over her shoulder. Clearly, she did not trust it! I continued to clean and refill it every couple of weeks. Once the filters that came with it were used, I ran it without filters. This continued for five months, then one day, she just walked up and started drinking out of it as though she had always done so. Silly girl. She has continued to drink from it regularly since that day. Once she started using it, I bought filters and am using them. I clean and refill it every week now that she drinks from it because I am slightly paranoid about water sitting out any longer than that, and besides, she actually drinks a lot of the water out of it within one week. A lot of people might have returned the fountain if their cat had not used it over the first couple of weeks or so, but I had a feeling she just needed time. I did not expect her to need that much time, but I am glad I did not give up.

Just get it. Cats love fresh water, I think.
Runs not stop. Took the filter out because it gets gross and I ain’t buying filters for a cats water bowl. Just clean and wash out the bowl every couple of days. I’ve never seen a cat drink so much water, but I’ve never had a cat before so. Very quiet until the water level gets too low.

Awesome, but...
I might have given this a 5 star review except if your home's electricity goes out your pet only has a small portion of water to survive on. I am forced to leave a bowl of water elsewhere in the room in case of a long term emergency, in this day & age. I love the material this fountain is made of. Stainless Steel, nice and rugged. Nice look to it with the flower on top too. The fountain holds quite a bit of water inside, but there is no easy reference as to what the water level is at. When I go to refill the unit, if I don't unplug it and open it up, I run the risk of overflowing it when I add more water. I have to guess how much to add to it. I discovered my cat drinks a lot of water the hard way. I had a friend pop in to visit. I left my kitten with her as I went out in the world. She texted me saying the fountain somehow had stopped working. I thought I had plenty of water in it. When I returned home the first thing I tried was to add more water to the unit and presto the fountain came to life immediately. I then turned it off, opened it up and found that the water had simply gotten very low. I had no idea my kitten drank so much. No leaks on the floor at all. There is just no outer visual reference to the water level. Pros: Stainless Steel It won't rust Beauty Encourages your small pet to drink water Cons: Small top reservoir which holds a little amount of water IF your electrical power were to go out No visual reference as to the water level supplying the fountain flow No easy way to turn off the fountain in order to verify the water level other than unplugging it from the wall Designed for smaller pets

A sleek, quiet, cost-effective investment in your pet’s health
I have 3 cats (aged 9, 13, and 13) and my veterinarian recommended a cat water fountain after one of my cats experienced a urinary blockage. The idea is that cats normally do not like to drink stagnant water, so a cat fountain encourages them to drink more water, more often. After dealing with the expensive veterinary bills, I figured this was something easy to try to see if it would help (no more blockages and it has been over 2 years *knock on wood*). I have observed 2 of my 3 cats drinking from it, and I also put a bowl of water next to the fountain to encourage the 3rd cat to drink from that by hearing the fountain (although it is super quiet, only slightly louder if it's running low on water). I do keep a rubber mat under my fountain, but I've never seen water splashing out (it's mostly because I sometimes spill water as I'm adding more). I originally purchased the Wonder Creature fountain with the plastic basin and it has served me well over the past several years. I was excited to see the sleek new stainless steel basin and am happy to say that if you own the previous model, it is the same in nearly every way, but with several improvements. It comes with clear, concise instructions, but you don't really need them if you've owned a cat fountain before because the entire thing is very intuitive. Every piece separates easily for cleaning, and they even include small bottle brushes so that you can clean the small pump, tubes, and pieces. The pump has tiny suction cups which secure it to the bottom of the basin. The thing I like best about this newer model is that you can remove the pump by threading the pump cord out of a small space in the top of the basin, thereby allowing you to wash the basin in the dishwasher! The fountain plugs into the wall and comes with the usb adapter to do so. After the initial investment of the fountain, your only ongoing maintenance cost will be the replacement filters. This fountain has a different filter than the previous model, but they are still very affordable. I usually replace my filters every 3-4 weeks as a busy mom of 3, but they probably should be changed every 2-3 weeks. I can tell you that the cost of the fountain and filters for an entire year is considerably less than a vet bill for a blocked cat. Although I haven't had any issues with either of the Wonder Creature fountains that I own, I love that they have a 1-year warranty.
