This product is fantastic for cleaning composite decks. As the owner of a professional pressure washing company, I can tell you that pressure washing alone can damage composite surfaces. While it may remove dirt, it often leaves behind marks and streaks. Some people resort to using bleach or pool shock mixtures to eliminate moss and algae, but these can fade the color of your deck. In my experience, this product is currently the best solution on the market. Although it may be a bit pricey, it’s worth it for preserving your deck. Simply mix two measurement cups with hot water (it works with cold water too, although the powder dissolves more slowly) and spray a small area, letting it sit for a couple of minutes. This will help lift the dirt from your deck. Then, use a brush to scrub and rinse with a pressure washer—just keep the nozzle at a safe distance. This method effectively cleans without damaging the surface. Additionally, this product works wonders on painted wood siding. It loosens dirt, which you can then rinse off with a garden hose or pressure washer. We often use it to detail the wood siding on higher decks where dirt accumulates deep in the planks—it works like a charm. One area for improvement would be for the company to include a measuring cup with the product again. They may have removed it to cut costs, but not having it makes it challenging to measure the right amount for a one-gallon sprayer. So please, consider reintroducing the measurement cup!

We cleaned our new BamDeck composite deck. We used two bottles of the powder, mixed in ten gallons of warm water total, for the whole 1,600 square foot deck. We applied it with a garden sprayer in small sections, then let it sit as directed, and brushed with a soft-bristle brush (as recommended by the composite manufacturer) before hosing it off. I recommend washing early in the morning, or later in the day when there is no direct sun if possible. If you apply in the sun, it's more difficult to keep it damp while it sits for ten to fifteen minutes as directed. The deck looked beautiful when we were finished. My only complaint is the high cost per bottle for a cleaner. However, we should only need to use it twice a year to keep the deck like new.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Did not work to remove the spots. Took color out of my deck! Stain removal: Zero

It's a little pricey, but nothing works better for cleaning composite decking. I really appreciated their suggestion to strain the solution through a paint filter if putting it in a sprayer so it won't clog the spray head.
