Christopher Knight Home Glouster PU Storage Ottoman, Brown

I purchased this to replace a shorter storage ottoman. It came unassembled but was fairly easy to put together. WARNING: do NOT overscrew the feet into the bottom as it can push the thread assembly head that holds the feet in place up into the ottoman frame. They are braced with heavy duty staples and can shift if a staple was not centered properly. This happened on one of the feet I attached and I had to carefully pull back the black mesh bottom liner, re-secure the thread assembly head and reattach the bottom liner. At least it happened on the first leg so I knew to be less brutal with the remaining 3 :) . And, yes, I know I could have just returned it and requested a replacement but I've never been accused of being a particularly patient person. It is narrower than my previous ottoman but I'm starting to like that as it helps uncramp the space I put it in and the extra length more than makes up for the narrower depth. This is long enough that it offers a foot rest to the majority of the length of my entire sofa so I don't miss the double reclining monstrosity that I got rid of. Nice sturdy cushioned top, MUCH better than the one I replaced that was purchased from a well known big box store. I would recommend this to someone who's in the market for this type of ottoman.

I needed a piece of furniture to sit where my dog's bed, who passed, used to lay. This item was the perfect size and blended in well with my other furniture. Surprisingly it was very well made, very sturdy. 2 adults that weigh 150# can sit on it, and fit comfortably. Lot of storage inside. I'm very happy with it.

I have positive feedback on this ottoman. In unpacking and assembling the four legs, I was actually impressed with the care in the packaging, instructions, and quality of the materials. Although we saw the pics online, we were further impressed with the amount of available storage. The only assembly required is mounting (screwing on) four short legs, which themselves are nicely designed and finished. Also provided are multiple spacers so that the mounted legs can contour the ottoman to your floor.

Color, Capacity, Sturdiness, ease of assembly all good at this price point. Would of been 5 stars if the leg where it borders with pleather had lined up flushly in final assembly. You will find that 2 of the 4 legs stick out about 1/4 inch and show as light wood which can be easily seen when you are looking down against dark carpet and ottoman. I actually fixed this quite easily. I temporarily placed some tape on the ottoman pleather next to the area where the leg sticks out to protect it, then I used a black magic marker on this leg wood area to turn noticeable light wood sticking out to dark and hidden. If you don't quite understand what I am talking about you will with assembly if the designer does not correct this issue. Again it was only 2 out of the 4 legs that did this. That said, this quick fix works well and the ottoman itself so far has offered beauty and sturdiness. I have sat on it a couple of times with no issues, but I'm a sizeable guy so I don't want to push it- so I generally don't sit on it. ALSO: I also eat off the ottoman quite often as well, so I purchased two 18" X14" plastic food trays ( like you would see at a restaurant ). I use one to keep my remotes, coasters, salt n pepper, etc. in the middle of the unit constantly, then use the other for bringing the actual food to as needed. If you use the ottoman to eat off of, etc. then using cafeteria style trays help keep the ottoman clean and scuff free, and you can use it as needed for a " table " as well :)

I purchased this for my sister last year. Now I'm considering buying one for myself.

We have had this for 7 years. It gets daily use, toy box, and has been sat on every day. It's still going strong.

We have small grandchildren and had a coffee table with hard edges and corners. I'd been wanting something to store their toys (some of them anyway) with softer edges and found this extremely affordable on Prime Day. Color crayons, color books, puzzles, games and all those leggos fit perfectly. They can crawl on and run into without getting hurt yet it is very aesthetically pleasing ... and has safety hinges. I'd thought I wanted tufted but am very pleased with this smooth seamed surface. I can still use it to set a beverage or other items. The only put together is to screw the feet on - easy peasy. I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend.

This meets its purpose of storing my extra bed linens, and I can even sit on it (size women's 16) but overall I'm disappointed with the quality. Things easily leave marks on the top. I bought some higher legs so my iRobot vac could get under it. When I was screwing the last one in, whatever it screws into just snapped off of the internal frame. I'm 60 and not very strong, so I don't think screwing a leg into it with my limited strength should have broken it.

Good quality, no issues with assembly. Product arrived in perfect condition. The top requires a bit more pressure to close compared to other storage ottomans I’ve owned, but this hasn’t been a problem. Spacious and comfortable, it is being used as a bench and window seat and is holding up well.

I needed a bench for extra seating as well as more storage space. I did my homework and decided the Christopher Knight bench was the right choice. It arrived ten days ahead of schedule and the only assembly required was to attach the legs. It's solid, spacious and well made. The inside is lined with a soft microfiber and that was a surprise as was the affordability. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Besides the fact that the first one we ordered was badly damaged , the second time is a charm. It’s a great light weight ottoman ( of course until u stuff it) and well made. Perfect for a window or side wall. Really clean leather look and seems sturdy. Great value for price.
