This trap kills the mice. Why is this item listed under "humane" mouse traps?

Look at the one-star reviews. Despite the claim that this trap has a "high-impact kill bar" it does NOT reliably kill mice quickly.

"Item dimensions 8.56 x 5.38 x 1.77 inches, M143S" in another place "1.8 x 5.4 x 8.6 inches" but in answers it says smaller. clarify size please?

The out of box dimensions of this trap when it is set are 3 7/8"L x 1 7/8"W x 2 1/4"H.

Are the metal pieces stainless steel? I leave my traps outside and the original wood type rust badly. I would be happy to pay for stainless.

The high impact kill bar is not stainless steel... I have several of these traps and they corrode when I clean them with bleach water mix. They have not rusted in several months time. The corroded parts are still serviceable, it is just on the surface. I am thinking they are a coated steel, or galvanized of some sort. They do work very well and are very durable.
