It is that good. I use them constantly - I LOVE this bottle, I just ordered another one. It is small holding only 8 oz, which I down in about 3 gulps, I love it. You MUST use PURE water in this. Pure water is either distilled or Reverse Osmosis filtered water. Your brita filters won't cut it. If you choose to ignore that important suggestion, your bottle may get funky from bacteria/ mineral build up. This is expensive, but worth it, so you should really want to take care of it. You really should want to take care of yourself too, so NO tap water! The manufacturer says, Distilled or Reverse Osmosis water ONLY. This IS a an SPE/PEM H2 bottle as listed. It DOES NOT alkalize the water or change the PH of it in any way. Sure there are less expensive H2 bottles you can buy, but they REQUIRE tap water and the H2 produced does not compare to what this bottle will produce for you. Not even close. A few very important things you need to follow: Use PURE water only. If using bottled water, make sure it is distilled or filtered by Reverse Osmosis (it will state how it is filtered on the bottle label.) I have an RO system at home. NEVER drink from the bottle. You will get bacteria in it and the membranes can't be cleaned. Pour the water into a glass and drink it. By doing these 2 things, you will never need to clean your bottle as bacteria will never be introduced to it. I say this from experience as I had to throw away a $200 bottle because of the water I used in it (at that time, it was ultrafiltered water, not RO.) The bottle started to smell every few days. Once the membranes are contaminated, you're sol. Keep it CLEAN. And, I did try to clean that bottle with ozone, it did not work. Into the garbage it went. This is an 8 oz bottle and the lid has a venting hole. The cap has recessed threads for the bottle and in the center of the cap is the venting hole. You can't block this hole, so do NOT fill this to the very top of the bottle. I measure 8 oz and take out 1T so I fill it with is 7.5oz and this won't block the venting hole. The only thing I don't like about this particular bottle is the cosmetic cover up at the top of the bottle so it makes it harder to actually see so you don't fill it too much or too little. It does produce more H2 if it has less of an air gap in the bottle, but don't cover the venting hole in the lid. Don't fill water into the bottle spout, keep the water level filled to just below the bottle neck. The price on this is OUTSTANDING, I just ordered another bottle. I rarely walk away from a sale or a good price. This model, after 2 continuous cycles filled with 7.5 oz of my filtered RO water (TDS of 4) and lid on tight has produced 6000ppb for me testing with reagent drops. I did run my filtered water through a magnetizer/vortexer to "structure" the water first for 10 minutes, then into this bottle. I do not know if swirling the water first had an effect to the final H2 levels I got. I do not test regularly, I can see and feel how it performs. I drink about 10-12 servings daily. The water is wetter, smoother, and much more hydrating. For the amount of water I drink, if it was not H2 water, I would be in the bathroom peeing every hour. If I drink the same amount of H2 water, I only go about 5-6 times a day, so my body keeps more of it. This would be EXCELLENT for athletes, people who work outdoors like roofers, landscapers....... I won't mention the brand names though. Important!: This will arrive with an orange cap over the membranes and some water inside. The membranes should always be wet. Review: Tested it, produced approx 1.5 - 2 ppm H2 - I’ve chemically tested this product and it produces approximately 1.6 PPM of H2 which is at the top end of therapeutic dose based on about 6 papers I’ve read on the topic. I also tested it by letting the water sit for 2 hours with the top on. After 2 hours it was at 1.3 PPM. This was surprising. I then tested it with the top off for 4 hours, with the top off after 4 hours it was back to normal levels of H2. So drink it immediately after electrolysis for best results. It is only about 225 ml so you will need to drink about 4 to 8 bottles per day for benefits, again based on studies I’ve read on the topic.
