In Ride the Rails, you will invest in railroad companies, build railway track across America, and deliver passengers to as many cities as possible. Each round, a new Railroad company is introduced to the game, and each Railroad company has its own special placement rules! Deliver passengers to as many cities as possible to earn the most points. Be cautious in your travels, as shareholders of Railroads that you use will also earn points! Ride the Rails is a game of simple rules with varied strategies and tactics for 3-5 players ages 12 and up, playing in about an hour. Review: The best way to see a country is on the rails....no hassle with traffic and usually they have pretty good food. Bought this game to share my love of train travel with friends. Will be playing during the cold winter months. Review: The second game in the Iron Rail series published by Capstone Games, this is a simple game of acquiring shares in a train company (without the auction component) and placing rail lines across the map. The rules are simple but there is a nuance to the game and mastering the strategy will require repeated plays. Great thing is that the gameplay is relatively quick (roughly 45 mins - 1 hour) so you can get in multiple plays in a sitting if your group is inclined to do so.
