Where do you put water to make ice

I personally just open up the lid where the basket is for the ice and use my sprayer from the sink to fill it up...with the basket still in...you can't see the fill line with the basket still there but I just stop when I see the water getting close to the basket. Just an aside... I LOVE MY ICE MAKER!!!

Where is this manufactured?

It’s International but I believe it is made in the USA. Just in the warranty wording it compelled me to believe that.

Has anyone ever purchased the protection plan?

I didn’t but you probably should if you plan on buying this icemaker. I could’ve just had a lemon but my water pump in the machine started squealing like crazy after about two months of use. I called the company and they just simply gave me my money back and told me to cut off the cord so I could throw it out.
