LUMINA TRIFLE BOWL

I bought this to make a layered cake that has pudding between the layers. Ordinarily the recipe is a sheet pan recipe, but I wanted it to look prettier. It turned out great. Note that you do have to "scoop" anything out, so it's best for things you don't want to look like a perfect slice on a plate. It would serve a large group/party any kind of dessert. You can also use it for pre-packaged items to make your kitchen look prettier. I keep granola bars/snacks by the kitchen door to grab on the way out to work and errands. I transferred them to this and it actually looks cute, not clashy/trashy. Better than granola bar boxes on the counter.

This trifle bowl is just lovely and I have used it at several events since purchasing. It looks like a vintage piece from someone's great-grandmother's estate sale. It's gorgeous. The glass is thick and beautifully designed. The bowl is sturdy and looks more expense than the price tag reflects. One of my daughters-in-law asked for one for Christmas!

The reviews had me real nervous about ordering this. Plus nothing glass has ever been delivered to me unbroken. This is a nice piece!! I need it so I can look like a person who would own a trifle dish at a party and this nailed it. It’s surprisingly heavy! I don’t have any seam as other reviewers unfortunately had. Everything is even, it’s good quality. Again, heavier than I thought. It’s the perfect size for a small gathering and will double nicely as a fruit bowl when nobody is around.

This bowl is gorgeous. High quality, thick glass. I bought it as a gift for my mom. She brought it over and I was impressed. The only reason I don’t give it 5 starts, is because of the size. For most receipts it’s probably big enough. But it seems a tad smaller than most.

I was looking for a trifle bowl that was a little fancier than a plain clear one… and this is it!!! It’s beautiful, heavy and the size is perfect, a little smaller, just what I needed.

This is one of the most beautiful bowls I’ve ever seen. I’ve been wanting to replace a cheap small bowl I’ve been using for years and although I have a couple of vintage heirloom bowls I’m reluctant to use them for a trifle. I’ve been looking for a few years. Everything seemed too large. I spotted this one in a tea shop on a random YouTube video and searched via a screen shot. I don’t think the Amazon ad mentioned it was crystal but going to the Godinger website it did. That was a bonus a well as reviews saying it was too small and the price for crystal and free delivery for such a heavy bowl. However when I received it, I found out it was pretty large for a Christmas trifle for one person. But never mind. It’s very striking, very heavy, will be easy to wash in the sink being the glass is very thick and it chimes beautifully. It’s a real statement piece. It’s made up of a few pieces, maybe due to the design and thickness of the glass and although you can see the joins if you look for them, they aren’t that noticeable. I feel that my trifles will be now be a joint presentation rather than a stunning trifle being held by a cheap glass bowl from a well known supermarket. I have plans to show off its beauty more than once a year now, with upcoming birthdays. I have my own special birthday this year so instead of a sickly fancy cake, I shall have a beautiful looking trifle with candles. This is my special gift to myself. I love glassware. I was a little concerned that the supplier was in the US but it arrived in once piece in the UK. It was very well packaged. Thank you for another beautiful piece of crystal. I also now have matching glasses.

Heavier than expected, great size for average trifle.
