I have a 5 year old HP Envy desk computer that came with a built-in bluetooth/WiFi adapter. I was getting about 10 feet of scratchy range on my bluetooth headphones so I bought this adapter. Installation was easy but making it work was a challenge. At first I disabled the driver and native bluetooth adapter and installed this one and the new driver and it worked... until I rebooted. The old adapter and driver reinstalled, conflicted with this one and I had no or unreliable connection. I almost returned this adapter in frustration. However, I took a deep breath and opened my computer case and went looking for something that might be the built-in. Behind the hard drive and CD drive I found it, a WLAN chip with 2 antenna wires attached. I removed the chip from it's socket and restarted the computer. NO bluetooth (and no WiFi). I plugged in the adapter, installed the driver from the CD and rebooted and my bluetooth devices started working. I can now walk outside, 50 ft away, and still have sound on my bluetooth earphones. I no longer have WiFi but I do have hard wired ethernet so I don't need it. If you need WiFi, be sure to purchase an adapter that has both. So, in my case I had to physically disconnect my built in radio before I could get this adapter to work. I suspect you will as well if you have one. However, I am now 5 star happy with my bluetooth!

Swapped out an old BT4 dongle (with internal antenna) to this BT5 dongle and supplemented a 2.4GHz antenna I had lying around, and now HomeAssistant reliably gets BT beacons from anywhere in the house. This is a huge step up from the BT4 stuff I was using before. Can't recommend it enough. Even before I swapped the antenna it was fairly reliable picking up govee sensors, though the upgraded antenna does seem to have helped with range a bit (mostly due to the fact that it has an SMA cable that I used to get the antenna out away from the rack, which I think was interfering with reception a bit).

Works with Home Assistant and has great range. There's a sensor 20-30 feet away on the other side of the house from where the Home Assistant hardware is and it never has an issue maintaining the connection.

Immediately shows up in home assistant. Connects to my Airthings Wave Radon. The Bluetooth built into the NUC I use for home assistant stops working after a few weeks and needs a system reset. Hopefully this fixes that. Update: 2 months solid so far without any connection dropout.

Terrible. This is a poorly made and presented product. It claims to work with Windows 7. The product I received came with a CDROM disc with software. That's useless in 2023. The paper instructions makes no mention of where to download any software. I determined the product was BT-505, did a Google search for a driver, and downloaded what was hopefully the correct software. The software installed a device called "Realtek Bluetooth 5.0" which is not what I paid for. This device is supposed to be Bluetooth 5.1 The software didn't install correctly, with some new devices saying "this can't start". I thought about un-installing the software but there's no listing for this product in the list of "Installed Programs". I tried re-installing the software and it won't let me. It says "There are unauthorized Bluetooth adapters in your system" and then "Realtek Bluetooth" is not installed in your system. Ridiculous. I tried pairing with my headphones. It doesn't work. So in conclusion, this product is worse than the Bluetooth that is in-built to my laptop. I haven't seen a computer accessory this bad in a long time.

Item is as described and since there are a lot of comments about install problems I would like to say that I at least had no issues am very happy with it's performance. Devices saddle right up and respond as one would expect. I would definitely purchase this item again and the seller did his part as well.

I bought this adapter to improve the range of my bluetooth for my headset, but it did not perform any better than the bluetooth radio that is already onboard my laptop. However, if you don't have bluetooth and need an adapter, it is plug and play and stupid easy to use.

I needed a better Bluetooth connection for my peripherals than what my motherboard offered, and the lag and delays while using 2.4Ghz were frustrating. Bluetooth’s newer 5.1 standard is faster, consumes less energy and has greater range than the old standard. While searching for the best value, this adapter offered by Zexmte, for Less than $15, provides a superior all around Bluetooth experience that uses less power, produces less heat, and helps minimize thermal throttling for all USB connections on the hub. I am not familiar with Zexmte, however the drivers are Realtek, a well-known brand. Now, all my devices connect quickly and lag free. I have not tried the extended range and will not as this PC is in my living room. I was so pleased with the Zexmte’s Bluetooth product I bought a second and would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to improve their PC experience.

After going through various TP-Link and other branded 'Stubby' transmitters for my main old PC I decided to bite the bullet on one with an aerial that didn't cost an arm and a leg and didn't require plannng permission... My newer devices have built-in Bluetooth and Wi-fi which use the chassis as an aerial. Result? Superior coverage, as you'd expect. But the old HP Elite Desk G1 (Don't judge) was before these new fangled developments so needs an adapter. The below says it all: 1. Choice of 4 different 'Stubby' USB adapters, no more than 10 meters on the same floor 2. This device allows up to 50+ Metres on both floors. Sound quality is top notch. I'm not interested in A2DP and\or AVRCP etc. It's just to hear audio from my main machine whilst I walk about the house doing..'stuff'. Used with TaoTronics, SkullCandy, Metro and Sony (both WH-CHxx and MBR-XBxx variants) headphones. All work without issues and breaks. The thing works. No issues running on Win10, which is amazing for the Metro pair as they were bought as a joke. I mean BT headphones for under a tenner? Still works with this device. Now, anyone wanna by a collection of hardly used Bluetooth adapte.....

Cette clé a immédiatement été reconnue par mon home Assistant Green. J'ai ensuite intégré très facilement on switchbot certain 3 et mis en place mes automatisations. Aucune deconnection pour un appartement de 40 m2. Comme sur la photo, la clé bluetooth et la clé zigbee ont été placé à une hauteur de 1m et 1m50 avec une rallonge USB de 2m chacune. Très satisfait de ce produit et de sa livraison rapide par Amazon via Colissimo.

It works better than my integrated 5.3 bluetooth on 450€ motherboard. I have two PS5 controllers connected on PC, and intel chipset keeps disconnecting one by one randomly. It seems to be intel chipset flaw. So I went for this one because of Realtek chipset. And it really worked. Whole day, not a single disconnect. I have Bose Soundbar connected, and two PS5 controllers. Hours of uninterupted fun with my wife. The only weird thing is, drivers only come on the physical CD-rom. You cannot download it on their website. So if you don't have the cd reader around (like me) it can be a little finicky. But that cannot be the reason to give it anything less than 5 stars.
