## Description

Equalization with Doc's ProPlugs: Doc's ProPlugs have also been used by divers who have trouble equalizing. Unlike other earplugs which are solid and would not be recommended for diving, ProPlugs are vented to allow equalization. While the small vent allows equalization to occur it does not allow debris to enter and it prevents earwax from washing out which exposes delicate ear tissue. The ProPlugs keep ears warm by storing the head's conductive heat; the warmth provided by the plugs drastically reduces the risk of thermal shock. Due to surface tension the vented plug also reduces abrupt pressure changes from reaching the sensitive eardrum which contributes to easier equalization. Clear ears often to allow air to escape through the ProPlugs vent and allow for better equalization. ProPlug wearers who have trouble clearing their ears should check to make sure a lump of ear wax is not blocking the canal or butting up against the vent. If the vent is fouled by debris while descending it is best to remove the ProPlug. I can't sing enough praises for this item. I bought the starter pack to forge out which size would work best for me. And now that I know, I'll keep coming back of i need to! I scuba dive. My ear drums are very sensitive to the cold, so I wear these VENTED ear plugs. They allow the water to get in, but then it gets trapped. The water warms and my ear drums stay malleable. I can equalize easily and therefore continue my dive without any discomfort. They do exactly what I need them to do and I don't dive cold water without my doc pro plugs. They're great, buying the starter pack held with fit, and they do exactly what I need them to do. If you have problems equalizing, try these VENTED earplugs.

I have sensitive ears and struggled in a scuba diving class to clear my ears under water. You still have to clear your ears frequently underwater but these ear plugs decrease the pressure on your ears, minimize the water in your ears and are a life saver. These ear plugs make scuba diving so much better because I can focus on the cool things to see underwater instead of how uncomfortable my ears are. I highly recommend them!
