I turn my virtual wall barriers on when I start my Roomba and turn them off after the job finishes and I think about it. They don't seem to use very much power. I don't believe leaving them on would cause you to go through a bunch of batteries. I think I will start leaving them on most of the time to compensate for the automatic weekly schedule I just set for my Roomba. BTW - these work great. **Q: How long do the batteries last if it is left on all the time?** A: Don't know. I've only used them three times and I turn them off when not in use.
