**Q: does this attract ordinary flies as well?**
A: No, the Fruit Fly Ninja is specifically designed to attract fruit flies.

**Q: Does it smell as bad as apple cider vinegar?**
A: Doesn’t really have a smell to be honest (unless you stick your nose right into the top of the bottle). The sticky sheets are better though as used both and this only trapped about 10 fruit flies, the sticky sheets trapped a LOT more…but do look a bit gruesome with all the dead flies stuck on.

**Q: Why are they crawling back out, I thought they got trapped inside?!**
A: Clean the yellow tube they climb in . Free it off the liquid so this makes them climb in .

**Q: Can this be used in tortoise enclosure**
A: The product only contains food grade ingredients: vinegar, fruit juices and a very small amount of detergent (comparable with ordinary dish soap). I am not a tortoise expert, but I believe that all these components are not harmful to tortoises.

We have been suffering with a massive fruit fly invasion in our kitchen and then they started invading our living room. Tried everything to get rid of them, but nothing was working. I knew I wanted something natural and without chemicals, as they affect both of us with our breathing otherwise. When searching came across this particular brand and liked the idea of being able to purchase multiple bottles for maximum impact. We opted for set of 6. They Arrived the same day as which was a relief as at that point I was beside myself with these tiny flying creatures, all over my work tops etc. We initially didnt' think these were working as had placed 1 by the kitchen sink and they weren't going near it but gathering by my kitchen sink. We couldn't see any action on the bottle. But! the following day we had added another bottle to our kitchen and we then started to see flys gathering on 1 of the bottles and by evening we could see some had gotten in and so on and it keeps working now and we have had lots of them now inside both bottles. The smell isn't too bad either, just vinegar and doesn't make the room smell. The bottles themselves are unobtrusive and small, so don't take up a lot of space, which is handy. Build quality is robust plastic and they do catch the flys. We were at the end of our tether with these things flying and crawling all over our kitchen, including inside our cupboards and bins etc, we are very pleased to have given this product a try and will recommend to others. Tip: do make sure you follow the advice to wipe the inside of the rim, once the lid is removed, as it will help the flys to get inside and not trapped on the sticky solution before getting inside the bottle. They do work! Only downside is the cost of these, as we had to use them right un until November and it will work out quite costly having to do this from early March right through, as they are stubborn creatures and come inside early in the year until very late.
