is this really only 2" wide?? How do you make anything if it's only 2" wide?

While it is 2" wide, it is perfect for small projects like mini Santa beards or Gnome beards, etc. That's what I bought it for. The fur hangs down past the 2" mark.

How long are the fur strands? I need to know the exact length of the actual hair strands.

I purchased this in green for a Grinch project. Handle with care as it sheds easily. The width of the roll is 4”. The actual “hair” is 3”. I plucked some hair to measure and the base of hair is denser and tapers to thin. This gives density and gives appearance of uneven scraggly fur/hair. I would buy again.
