I WILL BUY IN BULK NOW THAT I KNOW THEY ARE AMAZING!!
I will be buying these again!! We had a flood from rain a couple weeks ago and it was unexpected and destroyed a lot. I heard we were getting a lot of rain with flooding this weekend so on Friday I ordered these and the single pack ones, they got here at 4 am, I put them around the outside of our crawl and foundation and garage doors, and 4+ inches of rain I didn't have water in the garage or coming up from my flood vents in my house because these things stopped the water!!! They are so easy, I soaked some the night before and others I didn't and they just did literally what they said they were supposed to do. With a young child and losing a lot in a recent flood and ripping up my son's playroom floor because it when I got these set up and through out the rain storm I changed them my anxiety and stress level decreased so much because this product did its job! No odor, no mess, very stable even the ones I didn't fill and I let the rain start to fill they stayed in place! Thank you I felt like my home was safe. I even have family in florida that I told them about these and they are already ordering them!

excellent flood product useful for water testing and finding leaks too
Used this to set up a place to water test a sliding door we suspected of leaking. We made a half circle around the bottom of the door and put a hose in the area. Yes! The water in that area, just in front of the door, entered the house and leaked down to the room below. This made our waterproofing decisions easier and saved us a lot of time and money. It is versatile enough to use to stop flood waters as well. Our son used it for that when the San Lorenzo River overflowed. The size and shape are useful.

Peace of Mind!
I’m so glad I discovered this product! We were headed for a lot of heavy rain last winter and my slider has always been a concern for the possibility of water coming inside if it gets too high outside. I don’t have anything big enough to pre-soak the barrier so I just went ahead and placed it where I needed it, being sure to anchor it from blowing away, and let the rain provide the water for it to fully inflate. It functioned exactly as advertised and gave me such peace of mind! I left it in place for several weeks until the flood threat was over and then dragged it to the side of my patio for it to start drying out which took 2 or 3 months. Once dry, I stored it in my garage and I’ll be testing it out again this winter to see if it really is reusable. To be on the safe side, I bought a second one for back-up. I highly recommend reading through all the information so you’ll know what to expect, but I can tell you for certain that I won’t be without one of these again!

Soaks up water, takes a long time to dry out
Our previous order of 2 5ft dams worked well so we ordered the 10ft dam and are satisfied with its performance in soaking up water. The only issue is that it takes soooo long to dry out - we've had it on a covered porch, out of the sun, for days and it's still drying out. So the smaller the dam, the faster the dry-out time, but for our 9ft length garage door, we needed the 10ft dam. Outside of that one issue, it does the job it was created for and kept the inside fairly flood-free. Water still got in, but the dam prevented it from damaging our walls and the wood that touches the floor. Definitely worth the price since it's reusable, just hoping it dries out before the next storm.

It works!
This works great. Eliminated my water problem and diverted water away from foundation. Will use again!

Best - you won’t regret this purchase
Whenever I hear of heavy rain, I make sure I have these to protect my garage from water. These are amazing. It’s easy to use - just throw them on the ground by the garage door and let them do their thing. They absorb water and I can dry them out in the sun. They are reasonably priced. Make sure you get the right length as they come in multiple lengths. Buy them if you’re worried about water.

Not as good as it used to be...but still cheap insurance
Let me start off by saying this is the third time I've purchased this particular brand of water dam, so so I can't knock it too much...but its not what it used to be. Our first Quick dam (17') lasted almost 2-1/2 years, and in those years there was a lot of cycling from dry to wet and back again, combined with dragging it back and forth on an asphalt driveway (we use it to stop rainwater from entering through our two-car garage door) and despite the advertising saying you can drive over it, we decided NOT to take a chance. Anyway, it finally wore out and wouldn't expand anymore, so we purchased another (17') Quick Dam hoping for another good run time-wise. Unfortunately, we immediately noticed a difference. While the product worked extremely well initially, it started losing a bit of the (cellulose?) filler through the bottom stitching/seams which help create the "foot" of the dam. We attributed this loss to the newer style sewing/stitchwork when compared to the original. This slow loss went on for the duration of the Spring/Summer/Fall seasons which left us with a minimally usable product at the end of the year. We chalked it up to maybe getting a "bad one" off the production line, and purchased three more (including these two) because its a cheap investment in protection against water damage (for us). We bought 2 -10' Dams and a 17', because we wanted to try simply moving 1 10' section instead of our usually having to move/flip-back 1/2 of a 17' dam in front of the garage door. The 17' is still in its pack, unused, because we are using the 2 10' dams to provide a wider coverage area. Bottom line, aside from the difference in widths of the Quick Dams is that there is still an issue of the product losing its filler. I've attached a photo showing the loss of fill (white material in seam of dam) after the dam's first use. There is NOT a substantial amount of fill lost, and while some loss may be expected, after just a half dozen dry/wet/dry cycles its already not as "full" and doesn't block the water as well as when new. I can only attribute this to the product having less absorbent material inside after each use. The product does work, and works pretty well, I was just hoping for a longer product life span. For the money its a good product against preventing water damage, its just not as good as it used to be...

Does the job and value for money
Does what it says on the bag. Easy to put down and stays in place once wet. It's protected my front door from the recent downpours and reduced splash up from passing traffic. Definitely worth the cost. States it's reusable in that once it's fully dried up, it can be stored away - yet to see if that will be the case, as will be leaving down until after winter. It's not brash or intrusive so no problem leaving out to be prepared for 'just in case' moments. Would probably recommend buying a slightly larger size than you think you'll need

Work great! Wait for a Sale if you can :(
These work great! Take a long time to dry out and easy to.stack if needed. I ordered 1 (10 ft) to test and was awesome! So I immediately ordered another the day the 1st one arrived. I paid $32.99+ each. Less than a day after I ordered, they went down to $20 on Sale! and I hadn't even received mine yet. What a bummer:( This isn't a complaint against the product but is frustrating. So, I will order a 3rd now, on Sale. But I would have ordered 4 or 5 if I had the $20 sale.
