SEAC Sting Practical Versatile Well-Balanced Easy to Handle Sling Speargun

Went out an shot a 10 ibs. walleye on the first try. Very impressive gun for the money. Two thoughts for modifying it. One, get a band to maintain tension on the rope, two either clamp or melt plastic on the ropes connection to the shaft. Three, be prepared to unscrew the tip to get the shaft out of the bigger fish.

The gun is pretty nice for the price. However it's very underpowered in my opinion. I was taking shots at fish at 3-4 feet away and the spear was bouncing off them I added a second band. (See pics) And that made a huge difference. And now it's amazing. It's a great compact gun for areas with kelp or hole hunting Mine came with a spear and tip and line so I'm not sure why some reviews has issues with that. Also to those people leaving bad reviews because they can't pull the bungie back. You need to go to the gym. Pulling the bungies is pretty easy.

During my second time using this speargun, the wishbone snapped off from the band. This includes not only the plastic caps but the metal itself. I informed this to Seac/DipNDive (the reseller here on Amazon who fulfilled the purchase), and explicitly mentioned that even after screwing the cap back on, upon shooting the gun again, the wishbone fell out easily. The whole band/wishbone mechanism needed to be replaced. I was told to ship my defective gun to their office in New York. Since a month had already passed, the shipping cost alone costed $58. A week later, I received the gun back and much to my disappointment, all they did was screw the cap back on (without replacing the rubber band or attaching the wishbone's metal to the band or replacing the band/wishbone mechanism), which I had explicitly mentioned I had already tried and would not a solution because the wishbone would snap off again the next time the gun was shot. All in all, I give this gun and reseller a 1-star review for: 1) Product easy to be broken (even before breaking, there were a couple times when the firing mechanism would get stuck) 2) "Warranty" is basically void and they will not properly repair your gun if it breaks 3) Waste of time and money; as the shipping cost to send this gun in for "repair" ($58) was half the cost of the gun. Even though it's more expensive, I have not yet found any fault with its firing mechanism and would be purchasing a new JBL gun to replace this one. I had originally purchased this Seac gun because it was the cheapest option, but I guess the saying "you get what you pay for" is true.

The gun is great, but the order was filled by Amazon not a dive shop. In the description is says a bag was included. "Standard kit: bag, Nylon/Polyester line, 7M thread harpoon" I guess they meant the plastic bag it was wrapped in because i surly did NOT get a bag with it. The gun is great though and well made. It did include the spear shaft, tip and line as described they just forgot the bag.

Incredibly disappointed for the gun to have arrived without the spear and the line that attaches the spear to the gun. There were other reviews mentioning this issue, but I had assumed the issue would have been resolved by now as those reviews were from over a year ago. I was wrong.

Ho comprato questo fucile per cominciare da neofita questo fantastico sport. Posso dire che il meccanismo di funzionamento è veramente semplice, ci sono i dovuti sistemi di sicurezza ed è facile da maneggiare. Per ora l’ho provato solo per la pesca al polpo (essenziale in alcune circostanze) mi riservo di aggiornare la recensione quando lo utilizzerò anche per i pesci.

Die Harpune ist fuer den Gelegenheitstaucher der kleinen Fischen nachstellen will gut geeignet. Auch Kinder oder schwaechere Erwachsene duerften keine Probleme haben die Harpune zu spannen. Ich finde die Gummis etwas zu lang geraten was auf Kosten der Durchschlagskraft geht. Die Harpune eignet sich auf Grund der groesse und Wendigkeit zur Jagd in Hindernissreichem Gewaesser. Die fehlende Potenz und somit Reichweite macht die Jagd auf groessere Fische sogut wie unmoeglich. Die Verarbeitung ist ok, die mitgeleiferte Schnur habe ich durch eine 1,0 mm Nylon ersetzt. Der Pin der die Schnur haelt hat eine zu glatte Oberflaeche, funltioniert nachdem mit einer Feile aufgerauht aber problemlos. Plupunkt die gute Visirvorrichtung. Alles in Allem entspricht die Harpune meinen Erwartungen, ist etwas laenger als angenommen und daher als backup schwerlich zu verwenden.

Tempi di consegna impeccabili come sempre. Ho testato il prodotto per un po' prima di recensirlo, devo dire che è molto resistente e fa il suo sporco lavoro. Lo consiglio a chi si sta avvicinando per la prima volta alla pesca subacquea.
