Review: Must have! - Works as advertised. Caused a jam once in like 50 rounds so not too concerning. Would buy again Review: Reliable, effective and affordable - This is a brass catching mesh net bag that is used mainly for AR-15 style platforms, but it can also be used on other types of semi-auto rifles with good effect. It attaches by means of a wide hook-and-loop strap that wraps around the fore end of the rifle and holds the assembly tightly in place, with the broad mouth of the device completely encompassing the ejection port. The downside of this type of brass catcher is that it can interfere with some top rail mounted optics and scopes, but for most red dot type optics this isn't a problem. It can be easily detached when not needed and when full, this device includes a zipper closure on the bottom of the net bag, allowing for quick and easy emptying. I have not seen any damage or issues related to the heat of the ejected brass, but sometimes an occasional piece of brass may not neatly fall into the bag and may bounce back into the ejection port causing a jam. In my experience though, this is uncommon and is largely dependent on proper positioning of the device relative to the ejection port. If you are tired of searching for your brass at the range, picking it up, and no doubt losing some of it, you need one of these. It's affordable and it works.

Collects brass, as it should.
This is a hard item to review, simply because most of these devices are a compromise. It works, catches spent casings as it is meant to do. It did not melt or catch fire. It attaches easily and stays put once installed. I would get another like it if I had to.

Works as it should
This takes a little bit of work initially to figure things out. Once you do, it is easy to slip on and off without adding glue or anything to the gun. It doesn't have a lot of support, so it is not perfect, but overall it works as expected. It catches what falls into the bag. After a little while, it is definitely heavy, but it is easy to dump out without having to remove the catcher. My husband is happy with it even though it is not as stable as some of the others he has seen out there.

Works
I shoot left handed and wanted an easier way to save brass so I started looking into these. This one works fine for the value but I do wish it had more of a support setup inside the top of the lining like some others have. There's a lot of these to choose from in the market so the product should definitely be a little more competitive in that area. It comes off as a little on the cheaper as far as quality goes but it does work for the most part.

Gets in the way of right side controls
Tried this out today based on how the netting folds down, it gets in the way of the right side controls and some of the cases bounced back to the receiver. I would not recommend buying.

Attaches easily.
This attaches easily to an AR style rifle by a simple velcro strap. There is a wire frame which holds it open in front of the ejection port, and it easily holds a 30 round mag of shell casings. There is a zipper across the bottom, making it easy to enter into a container. It wouldnโt be as useful running a course, but is perfect at a range. This saves my daughter having to search for the brass when I take her shooting.

It catches the brass
For the most part, this catcher works fine. It's a bit more basic than others (such as those that have a wire loop that hold the bag out a bit) but it does the job well enough.
