I have that one and it's a bit dull now but I still love it** A: I have the 16 slicer, and I think it is harder to cut than the 8 slicer. There are twice as many blades, so twice as much resistance. I found it hard to push through on my kitchen counter, but it is easier on the kitchen table, which is lower. I can really get my weight into it! **Q: What is the diameter of the central corer?** A: Oops sorry didn't understand the question. Yes the center circular core/pit remover is exactally one inch in diameter. **Q: Anyone know where the apple slicer is made?** A: China **Q: How do you sharpen the blades? Ours seems to have worn over time.** A: Hi Monica! You might (stress 'might') be able to find a knife sharpener that could work but the product was not designed with sharpening in mind.
