I like to make travel videos and as soon as I would enter the windy areas, I would have to shut the video off because of how the foam on the RODE mic was not diffusing any of the wind. This wind shield has made the BIGGEST of differences!! I can finally film in windy areas and have the mic pick up my voice while eliminating 90% of the wind noise! If you are hesitant to get this, don’t! It is so worth it!

Did the research and this seemed to be the best choice. As the photos show it's definitely a good fit for the Rode VideoMic Pro, I'm very happy with the quality and I suspect to get a lot of use out of it. The best part has to be the price, compared to the OEM version this is a steal.

Works as advertised! Wind is nearly eliminated. A must with shotgun mics if your recording audio outside or even swinging a mic around! Perfect price! Just a little bit tight at the back.
