Steep learning curve to work it out but there are a bunch of YouTube videos to help and you can find the manual online. There's nothing in the box to help you to get started. Using the fs 6 for pedal with it really helps. A few reviews on here complain about the backing track being too loud and potentially damaging equipment. It can be turned down. You just need to take the time to work out all of the settings. I'm an intermediate player just getting in to soloing and scales and this is a great tool to lay a backing track and jam over. I'm still working it out but I love it. Built like a brick shit house like all of the boss pedals. Save the loop before changing memory locations or the loop will be gone when you go back to that memory. **Q: Could a record bass and send that to one output (bass amp), then play guitar live and send to the guitar amp?** A: I tried it, and both signals will pass through to the outputs, but the primary signal (mono) output is to both A and B channels. If I understand what you are asking, yes it does loop both signals, but not sent (true send) as separate outputs. Boss (Roland Corp.) has all the manuals and specs on-line for further review. **Q: Can this unit synch to midi clock from an outside source?** A: Yes. You can set the Boss pedal to send or receive.
